Okay, sorry. But won't that limit space for the newer Black and White suggestions? Does this mean to suggest that the DS period will only last a few months? (Am I being a burden?) What of the Suggestions Board and RPG, will it be closed during the shift, or will it be open?

The RPG was only closed because members were ignoring the rules totally - it won't be closed. As for suggestions, I cannot say.

I think they're saying there won't be a DS period, we'll just convert all the DS suggestions to Black/White ones.

We're currently nearing 100 approved DS pokémon. We will probably approve more than that. When the time comes, suggestions on the board will indeed get converted to B/W format. Thus, they will get treated as B/W suggestions; they won't limit anything, since we suggestions are just suggestions; they aren't split up by games ^-^

I cannot say beforehand if suggestions get closed in the meanwhile. The suggestion limits are working very well, so maybe that won't be necessary ^-^

So, what we're currently doing is approving slowly, so that we can at least somewhat keep up with dexing approved suggestions. Suggestions lingering on the board can then be simply updated to Black and White format when those games come out, instead of being part of a huge DS-style backlog. To us, that seems the way to go.

So, I'm sorry, but we don't need a "Suggestions Team". I appreciate you all trying to help out, though, but I hope you now understand why approvals are going slowly ^-^ (and I think we should've made a notice about this earlier...)

First of all, you mentioned yourself twice in that first sentence. Second, WHAT?! I've been waiting for almost three months for my suggestions to get reviewed and hear that you guys have plenty of free time! I thought I was waiting because you weren't ready yet, not that you're trying to prevent another backlog. Yes, I get the point, the backlog was like another mya Hack. but I thinking you slowed it down too much. From getting pulled over because you're going to fast to geting pulled over for going to slow. Would it be possible to review, say, a few (maybe three or four, but probaly less) topics a week? Just to speed things up a little bit?

No Flarsable, you are wrong. Just because reviewing doesn't take much time doesn't mean we have free time. We have make the dex entries, complete information not required of the members, code new pages, draw the concept art, and modding the forums. Each of these tasks easily take at least a couple hours to complete. Don't get upset just because we don't review your pokemon, when we are working on other people's pokemon.

To add on to what the other staff members have said, we do have free time, a lot of it (a lot more when summer break comes round for us high school students). You must all remember though, while suggestions are the main part of our site, we are simultaneously working on many other large projects that need tending to, and we have been attempting to broaden our borders from a suggestions based site to an all-around site centered around approved suggestions (the strides made, and yet to be made in the RPG are just mind-boggling). Just to mention a few projects that are already known: weakening overpowered moves, approving the final batch of previously suggested moves from the Suggest A Move forum, and updating ALL of the previous pokémon from the GSC and RSE eras into DP (and eventually BW) formats, not only for ease in the RPG, but more immediately for the OTHER huge side project that is Pokéngine.

And by the way, dexing a sprite takes like an hour, two hours tops. It's tedious, but really not all that much work. ;P

Okay hen... aw man, now I wanna help with the updating of G/S/C Pokemon! I will always think that the remakes of the PF Generation II are being upgraded to what happened with their real counterparts: HGSS style. I can't tell you how much I think that's what's gonna happen.

If we really were in necessary need of help, we'd contact you all

We're going at a nice pace, to be honest. It's a lot of work to do, but when there isn't a huge amount of people, it's easier to keep track of who does what. Believe me, having extra help might be more confusing than having too little help.

Also, Flarsable: we do intend to review three suggestions at a time (not necessarily a week, though), but things slowed down a bit because we suddenly had to code the second page right away because of the weekly updates. We are now reviewing more topics again.

I get it- approving suggestions as quickly as possible would just lead to even more suggestions, and more backlog. If anything, it seems you would need more spriters, as the spriting takes the longest. Then again, spriting is really a one-man job, so more spriters might only let you work on more suggestions at a time... which doesn't really help at all. :/
