EDIT: I just noticed that Deckadecu's signature powers are not expanded on in its dex. Maybe Deckadecu himself would care to comment?

...is it just me, or have the quality of Dexes (menaing, the actual physical appearance of the Dexes, not they Pokemon themselves and/or their info) suddenly dropped. They seem a bit more blurry than usual. And now I am very, very jealous of new Staf members becasue I can't seem to find a way to become one and at hearing how EP became one I got kind of mad.

The dexes don't seem blurry to me...

And Flarsy, I was hired to do an actual job too. -_-; I have to put in dozens of hours making sprites.

I like what you did there, but remember they are -ffet and -ttef, not -fett and -teff. The entire name is just Wobbuffet flipped over (save the e, which sadly doesn't work).

We're glad you all liked the new pokémon! Now to answer some questions...

@Flarsable: as elementalpenguin pointed out, the dexes shouldn't look any different, as we always use the exact same template for them. Anyway, I think it's possible that the tiny squares that make up the background may make them look blurry from certain points of view.

@patricol: thanks for pointing that out, we'll fix it soon.

@JDLJDL: for the same reasons that our gym leader sprites are; to save time and help to keep consistency. Not being an integral part of the site, we take liberties with them that we wouldn't take with our pokémon sprites (granted, we did it a little in the GSC era, but that's history now).

Is there a certain reason Cognimech is facing right in its Pokedex entry? Usually Pokemon in their Pokedexes face left, as they would if they were in battle against a Trainer....

If you look closely, you'll notice that, while Cognimech's body faces right indeed, its eye looks to the left. So it is in a defensive position, examining its opponent carefully out of the corner of its eye. Here's an official example for good measure:

The only staff mini that was (partially) a splice/recolor was Moppnttef's, simply because it is related to Wobbuffet. The other two (Deckadecu's and Terrankott's) were completely from scratch.
