Kay I was thinking that now that aipom has two evolutions it probably could use a prevolution but I'm not really sure how to get started. I was thinking like maybe something like a pygmy marmoset or something but I'm not really sure. could I get some help?

Aipom is quite small, I don;t think it needs a pre evo.

It could be a standalone, similar to Pachiriu being a counterpart to Pikachu, yet having no evos.

Pachirisu is just the stereotypical electric rodent, and thus is not a counterpart.

Aipom looks basic enough, I also think it doesn't need a pre-evolution right now. If we make too many pre-evolutions right now, we might have many, many problems if any of them overlap anything from Gen V.

I am sorry to say that I agree with Cacapulse, Aipom already reminds me of a toddler if not baby PKMN. I really don't believe it needs a prevo, and it's not worth the risk of having to change it at a later date.

But if you reed Aipom's pokedex entree it says that due to continuous use of its tail it's arms have regressed (which means they have gotten smaller and weaker). Just think of what it would have looked like before it's arms regressed.

That probably refers to a Darwinian type of evolution in these pokemon; as in Shellos having shells, or Magikarp being stronger in the past; and not to the metamorphosis the games usually call evolution.
