The greenish color makes it resemble something like an amoeba, bacterium, or form of slime.

Yeah, it does. i was going down the amorphous blob road, but mentioning that makes me think that it's... a giant blob of mucus. Eww.

Its big nose makes me think of a tapir. The concept of an amorphous tapir seems cute to me.

I think I saw that before....If I recall correctly, it was amorphous, as it bent in odd ways as it moved. I do think it's nose is prehensile.

I've performed X-rays on it, and it does seem to be an actual animal, rather than a colony of organisms. However, it does appear to be coated in a slimy film of micro organisms, as microscope tests have verified.

Plus, test battles have indeed shown that absorbtion attacks cause re-coil damage (much to the distress of the Labratory's Oddish). This has led us to belive this Pokemon has the ability Liquid Ooze. It is currently at Lv.5 and only knows the move Astonish. Now trainers are needed to raise one, to see and take note of what moves it learns. Perhaps it may even evolve?

Also, we'll need to give this creature a name!

PS. Genetic sequencing results are in, and the micro organisms are indeed related to Bactrun, while the actual animal inside is more closely related to Phanpy!

I trained one, got it up to about level twenty, and it tried to learn a few moves too:

I got one also, and checked it's pokedex data. It appears to be at least part Poison type and is named Taperia (TAPir+bactERIA). It does indeed have the Liquid Ooze ability and is classified as the Slime Tapir (if that's to long, SlimeTapir).

Does it really make that much sense to make a slime covered tapir at all? I think the ideas are way too unrelated for it to work, unless someone could provide a valid counterexample from an official pokemon.
