Ivan was born in Bastion City, but he and his parents moved to Anchore Town 4 years ago. During the past 4 years, Ivan has made a strong bond with the Comolten that he got from the Anchore Lab as a welcoming gift. 1 year ago, he decided to take the path of a breeder, even though he sometimes makes the wrong food for his Comolten, and the families pet Shephur. He started his journey the day after he turned 11, but before he left home, he decided to battle the first gym leader so he could finalize his decision.
