In my backpack, I have my bidner, my pencil case, my math book, my calculator, my phone, my key to the house, my DS, and whatever other crap is in there. Now, that doesn't seem like much, right? Well, I keep EVERYTHING else in my binder, which means my notebooks, my returned papers, my unused planner, etc. so it's like 20 pounds.
@Drufle: That's why I keep everything in my binder. I just carry it and my pencil case (which carries much more than pencils) and I'm pretty good to go. My locker is literally on the other side of the school from my first class, and the locker up no the second floor while the first class isn't, so it's a LONG walk carrying a probably 25 pound backpack (remember, I'm only 12, I can't carry too much yet) to get to my locker, and even then I'm almost always late to the second class. However my school is very small...

Well my school is fairly large, and I have to walk across campus twice each day. I think that's about a quarter-mile. It's really far. At least my backpack's comfortable. If it wasn't, I would need a daily massage to make up for the pain. Besides, I can carry a lot more than 45 lbs. easily.

I would bring a Laptop around, but I lack one.

I would bring around a sketchpad, but I feel like my still life is terrible.

I would bring around a Camera but I feel like it takes up too much space (I don't bring around a Backpack, I just use my pockets

). I would bring around my DS Lite, but I feel like there isn't enough room in my pockets some times, so I bring around my iPod instead. I lack a Cell Phone.

Oh hoh, you wouldn't believe what I can fit in my pockets. For some reason, every pair of pants I own has huge pockets. In one pair of pants, I can fit the following: two books (actual sized ones, comparable to about half a Harry Potter book), my DS, about 15 pencils (both regular and mechanical), and about four classes worth of papers. Seriously, my pockets are a second backpack.

I probably should stop bringing my hats around.
I have more papers to bring around. Students bring their own homework. I have to bring everyone's homework AND tests. And schoolwork.

Yeah, I should have up something tomorrow. See, Tokronos, SoR's pokemon? He came up with the idea, but originally the final stage would be a sleepy grandfather clock until I convinced him to make it an awesome robot clock and so I'm showing him how I pictured it.

The blue stuff was his idea, and I'm glad he thought of it. I'm most proud of the colors used here - have you ever tried to make something look bronze? It's hard.

Have you tried sketching lightly on one layer and tracing them with dark, thicker lines on a layer above it? I've read about that on dA tutorials, the final line art is awesome.

Or, if you have Adobe suite, you can use Illustrator to make clear-cut line art, Flash to color, and Photoshop to shade/effects.

(I have colored "bronze" before---manually, from colored pencils. It takes gold, green and a little Tuscan Red, I think. Perhaps I could show you my attempt at bronze?)

Yes. For some reason I just can't keep my hand still when doing line art on a comp. But yeah, that's what I always do.

Unfortunately Illustrator is not mine.

Although I am quite happy with the result here, I would enjoy that.
