I made a creature (late into the night) that attacked by regurgitating. Then I realized how disgusting that was, and realized I gave it scale-like features on its cheeks. So, thinking about Pikachu's cheek sacs, I retooled it to launch acid and poisonous substances produced by the poison glands in its cheeks, rather than stomach acid. In this way, it effectively attacks the same way it did originally, with the same appearances, without changing the design itself much. The creature I doodled produced the acid as a way of counteracting its typical diet of carcasses, and incorporating the rotten substances to "power" its poison glands. Thus...for whatever reason would your Pokémon have gastic imbalances and upsets, especially constantly? Does it somehow have cellular waste accumulating in some of its bodily tissue, due to overly-powerful powerhouses of mitochrondia (a construed and infeasible example), causing it discomfort?*
*I know, really unfeasible----only an example. It still makes slightly more sense than just regurgitating all over the place for no reason.
Belated Rodember fan art.
At least the final evolution does not become smaller...although there are still size discrepancies.
