Soooo... what do you all think of a HGSS style of map for Bombur? I'm not saying that the Staff will be or not be making one like HGSS, but what do you think?

To be completely honest with you all: I find the DPPt/HGSS-style maps rather ugly. I very much prefer the RSE/FRLG-style maps.

That said, the current style is also the style that will be used by pokengine, which is why I'd like to stick with this map for now.

It's funny you say that ShinE. Because I rather like the fourth generation maps, especially the map for Johto and Kanto. I guess we all have are preferences. Its kind of like how you prefer generation III sprites and I prefer generation IV sprites.

I wouldn't mind doing a fourth gen-style map in the future, though, since it can easily exist next to the current one (that's the luxury we have). I'm afraid it's not really a priority right now, though.

Did I prefer the Gen III sprites? If I did, I will change my opinion in retrospect, since I've become very fond of the Gen IV sprites ^-^

I like the G4 maps better B/C it shows how big and how small some cities are. And it shows geographical sprites of caves and such.

I agree that 3rd gen maps are a bit better, if only because they're somewhat more detailed.
4th gen sprites are great though. HG/SS sprites... I have mixed feelings. Scyther looks so different from what I know and love, but still awesome.
Mewtwo HG/SS is quite possibly the best thing ever.

Now that I think about it, the 3rd gen maps are one of the best, so maybe we shouldn't replace it. But how about adding an option to view it in 4th gen map style instead? That way we could have both.

I extremely dislike the HGSS map style. The DP and Gen III style is much better.

I like the HG/SS map graphics, but it looks too cramped, especially how all of the Fly-able spots get covered with big Pokeballs. :P A D/P size map with HG/SS graphics, if possible, would be great.

Bombur is indeed much larger than Johto and Kanto, but considerably less concentrated. If we were to do a HG/SS-style map we would need to do several maps in theory, but it would be definitely be more detailed than our map we have now. I think it would be the more difficult, but most rewarding path to take.
