Wow. Look back on what Satoshi Tajiri has accomplished:
Pokemon Red/Green/Blue, Yellow, Stadium-G1
Pokemon Gold/Silver, Crystal, Stadium 2-G2
Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen (the first remakes), Ruby/Sapphire, Emerald, Collosuem, RSBox, XD-G3
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Platinum, and HeartGold SoulSilver (the sequals and remakes of GS and FR/LG)-G4
*Pokemon Black and White-G5

But, isn't time to bring back Ruby and Sapphire? Maybe, when B/W are released, Nintendo/Game Freak will make remakes of R/S. What do you think?

I'm certainly not ready for a remake of Ruby/Sapphire. If they do make them, they both better have Emerald's storyline. It was more coherent and made more sense. I wouldn't mind visiting Hoenn again though!

Personally, I don't really see the point of a R/S remake. To me, the only real point of remaking a game is to reconnect them with current games, which the third-gen games can already do. And I agree with Squirrelay: Emerald had a much better storyline, but it probably would have to be tweaked if it would be remade into two games.

RS remake is definitely possible. Absolute, I would say. Nintendo are a bunch of profit mongers, they will take the chance to remake/port ANYTHING to cheat people into buying their products. That's what they did with every single big franchise they own.

I do agree with the Emerald storyline; but how woudl tjhat work with mascots? And I personally think they should have Steven as Champion.

It would be the Emerald storyline with the Legendary part altered, like they did with HGSS and Crystal.

After that happens (which I wouldn't really mind; I think Hoenn was underrated), we'll have Kanto remakes again, followed by Sinnoh and Johto, then wherever B&W is, then Nintendo won't ever have to make anything but remakes ever again.

Seriously, I can understand remaking the rist two gens, but they were seriously outdated. Much of our current pokemon is based on the RSE changes, they don't really need remakes.

Technically Crystal was remade in HeartGold and SoulSilver. Anything that was different in the Crystal was put into Gold and Silver's remakes.

I agree though. If Nintendo was smart, they wouldn't remake these games.

You underestimate Nintendo, my friend! Nintendo is famous for remaking and porting. Kirby Super Star Ultra? Super Mario Advance 1, 2, and 3? Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland? Pokémon FRLG/HGSS? Spring Breeze? ExciteBike?
Hell, they have an entire database of games they want to re-sell and milk to its very limits. The Virtual Console.

I actually WANT a Ruby/Sapphire remake... I love the idea of remaking games. You just don't want to go back and play the poor graphics games after some newer games, but these remakes not only quenches your nostalgia, BUT you can also not go through the crappy graphics.

Graphics don't matter to me. It's the improvements they make to the newer ones that make me not want to play the old games. Okay, so now that we have a general opinion of how people feel about the remakes. If or when they do it, how would they add to or change Hoenn? Let's discuss that.

More post-game activities. I suppose the Battle Frontier filled that gap in Emerald, but only having had Ruby I can say that the only real thing to do after beating the game was catching Rayquaza and Lati@s. No Kanto, no Sevii Islands, no Battle Zone. And there were way too many ocean routes.
