Alright, I know I took some artistic liberty here, what with beaks and legs... but this is how I always pictured them, and to be fair I wan't given much to use.

I like the beak idea on all of these. However, I never intended for these to have legs. I always thought of them more like actual fish rather than sea-dwelling dino-esque creatures. BTW, the talon is supposed to have 3 long toes on each: 2 on top and 1 on bottom, all of which curl around a decent amount. The talon is also supposed to be bigger overall; it is the dominating feature. As far as the dorsal fin goes, rather than having it extend down the spine like an eel, I was imagining a regular dorsal fin, angled back in a streamlined manner and lengthened considerably for Neptalon.

That being said, thank you so much for giving me/us a basis for these guys to work from, in an art standpoint. Your sketch has fitting eyes, appropriate body colors, excellent artistic liberty as far as the pattern goes. Just no legs is the key hitting point here.

I always thought so, that's why Neptalon is so protective of it.

Just a thought, if we keep the beak thing, shouldn't this learn Peck?

YEah, I realized when I when I went and checked the description again. I had always pictured them with legs though. *shrugs* My bad on that one. Also, those talons are huge: MY imagining is that Neptalon is a good 5 and a half feet in that picture, so that thing is like a good foot at least. Sorry about that, I just wasn't given much to work with either. ^^; Your description is blue creature with red dorsal fins and razor sharp fins, talon.
While drawing them, I had an insight - Clawtch is a nice little creature, getting food from Neptalon, and doesn't need the talon. But when it starts to feel its adolescence, it grows the talon since it knows on a genetic level it will be ostracized. If they never went through their adolescence, they wouldn't have the skills to fend for themselves!

Yes, that is true. I loved your sketches, especially on such little direction, for many of their accuracies. I just imagined that the talon would be relative to the size of Hariyama's hand, but with claws and 3 fingers, and skinnier proportions.

The description for Razor fin is way too long, and I'll assume that the "very high critical hit chance" is the simple 12.5% chance of the other high-crithit moves. These Pokemon also need Abilities.

EDIT: I changed Razor Fin's data. I was wondering Alex, what if those drawings you did were a counterpart line? Except for the Clawtch one, of course. That would be too similar.

Upon closer observation in the wild with my MITUSP, I found that their society possesses a simple, tritiered semipatriarchal nomadic structure, like that of a pack of wolves, or a small pride of lions, thus making them far less solitary in nature than most other aquatic Pokémon species. they travel in pack-schools composed of approximately 3-6 Clawtches, 2-5 Graspisces, and an adult Neptalon, usually with its mate. Often one can also find a Graspisces living solitarily. It appears that 10% of the Clawtch/Graspisces/Neptalon species have a recessive trait that causes them to leave their pack-schools upon evolving into a Graspisces. These Graspisces don't seem to bear the same animosity towards their younger kin, and also seem to show more independence, which supports the theory of the attention craving Graspisces.
