Recently, a lot of new Normal- and Steel-type moves, along with some moves of other types, have been added to the site. Some of the Normal-type moves we liked so much, that they became a TM or a Move Tutor. Check out all of the new moves on our New Moves page.
The new TMs are:
- #TM101 Leap (taking the place of Sandboard)
- #TM119 Last Stand (taking the place of DancingLight)
- #TM120 Spirit Bomb (taking the place of Ripcurl)
The new Move Tutors are:
- #MT06 Poker Face (taking the place of Trick)
- #MT20 Play Dead (taking the place of NegativeWave)

Secondly, we received some questions on the board regarding the existence of Pokémon Contests / Super Contests in Bombur in the PFL. We have answered such questions in the Pokémon Factory FAQ section.

Thirdly, I've put up a notice regarding the Type Reference Engine on the site, since Poryhedron is having some issues with WordPress. Please discuss the Type Reference Engine in this topic.

I do like moves. The Steel-type could have used some new move additions, too. Thank you, ShinE. (and Staff otherwise, but typically ShinE is the one that presents the news to the public)

May I ask specifically which new moves were added? Or, would that be a better challenge for the public to catalogue? (or otherwise inconvenient for you to list) Since this seems to be the easiest question, which types did not have new moves added? I do not note any new Bug-type moves added, for example.

I think Vaporize, Liquey, & Solidify shoudl be chanegd to Poison, Water, & Steel respectively because I think those types bets represent those elements (Three of my unofficial Atoms are those types, and they represent those elements.) Will you be updating movesets with these moves too?

Pokémon Factory Worker

I personally don't see how Poison fits Vaporize. And there are many different substances that can change between different states of matter, such as water, elemental gasses (like Oxygen), and metals (which can melt). Since it can be applied to many different substances, I agree that Normal fits it best.

Normal fits it best because it's a changing shape move. Castform is a good example of why it's Normal

Well, here's a list of added moves that ShinE compiled, it's probably not 100% complete but it's certainly close to it:

Equip Armor, Iron Curtain, Forge, Armor Polish, Power Drill, Cannonball, Time Bomb, Screwdriver, Chain Whip, Scrap Metal, Glass Shards, Solder, Overclock, WreckingBall, Eye Beam, Diamond Hoof, Smelt Punch, Magnet Field, Molten Steel, Shield Bash, Anvil Drop, Construction, Sharpener, Barbed Spear, Lead Fang, Shrapnel Cut, Soothe Chime, Whetstone, Sword Edge, Dynamic Rush, Lead Coat, Mercury Coat, MetalGrinder, Lead Spikes, TitaniumKick, Temper, Oil Up, Trip, Modulation, Sweet Dreams, Leap, Regift, Play Dead, Liquefy, Solidify, Vaporize, Ring, Chime, Toll, Spike Ball, SpinningBlow, Sonic Pulse, Nibble, Belch, Last Stand, Ultimatum, QuantumSpeed, Morale Armor, Callus Armor, AchillesHeel, Tantrum, Pounce, Trap, FrenzyTackle, Whirl Dive, Inflate and Windstorm.

In addition to that, Calm Weather was changed to Clear Skies with added effects, and Aero-Escape was renamed as Soar.

In the days before I joined PF, (and before the policy on adding new moves was changed) I made a list of many fan-made moves I wanted to submit to PF. When PF reopened, the move suggestion policy was changed so that it was unlikely most of the moves in my list could be added (which was fine, but a waste since it took me a summer's worth to make them). However, I recall that one of the moves in that document I named Windstorm. I am glad to see that ShinE implemented a move of that name, (convergently) to PF---it made me smile as I recognized its name.

I also wondered, while browsng, why Aero-Escape was gone and an extremely similar move was there instead---I am glad that I know it was renamed now.

I wonder what kind of Pokémon will learn all those new Steel-type moves...incidentally, since I do not think many Pokémon come with chains, if a Pokémon possessed a long, wiry, whiplike tail of segmented metal pieces, would it be appropriate for that Pokémon to learn Chain Whip? Additionally...Metalgrinder is an interesting, amazing move.

EDIT: Shield Dust is not capitalized for the move Bullseye.

EDIT: Shield Dust is not capitalized for the move Bullseye.

Fixed the Shield Dust issue. Also, yes, I think Chain Whip is usable by pokémon with such a tail.

I'd say Palatin learns Equip Armor & Armor Polish. And doesn't Armor Polish sound very similar to Rock Polish?

Similar, yes, but in the same way as Fury Swipes, Fury Attack and Fury Cutter are similar, or the latter is similar to Air Cutter, etc, so it doesn't really matter.
