"Finaly"! Daniel said eagerlet when he arrived to Anchore town. He was very eager to get into the lab. He was very tired from his long trip from Almia and wanted to get his first pknm Quickly. He knocked slowly on the door...

After a few moments, the door was opened by a young man wearing a lab coat. He smiled at the boy who was waiting and said, "Hello there! If you're looking for Prof. Idaho, he's away at the moment. But I'm his aide, Aaron, and I can help you with anything you need. What can I do for you?"

Then he led the boy over to a few tables on which rested several groups of pokeballs. "Do you know which pokemon you want, or do you need me to tell you what choices we have?"

"We do have one option for people who don't want any of the standard starters," Aaron said. He pointed to a group of pokeballs that were set slightly apart from the rest and said, "If you like you can pick one of these, which contain random pokemon. We won't know what's in any of them until you open one. Would you like one of these instead?"

Suggestions Board Manager

...a two-foot long yellow pokémon who looked oddly tired. Within seconds, though, the light in the lab seemed to perk it up. It shook itself, looked up at Daniel and smiled. "Go-gol! Stegolar!"

"Nope, not just yet," Aaron said. "First you'll probably want to know a bit more about your pokemon. Just return it to its pokeball and place it on the machine there," Aaron said, and pointed to a machine in one corner that had a slot for a pokeball and a screen on its front. "Then I'll show you the last thing we have to do."

(OOC: It would be better if you wrote out the action of your trainer putting the pokeball in the machine, since it's a little awkward to say what the scanner says without you doing that.)

The machine hummed briefly as it came to life before displaying some information on its screen.

STEGOLAR

Charges the foe with a full-body tackle.

Growl [Nrm]
Growls cutely to reduce the foe's ATTACK.

"Now then, let's move on to the next thing we have to take care of. If you would just follow me, please," said Aaron. He lead Daniel through a door at the back of the lab, which opened to a room that had no ceiling, and had a carpet of living grass for the floor. In the grass grew small white flowers in rows that marked out the lines for a pokemon battlefield. "Your last task is your first Gym Battle!" Aaron declared as he took his place on one side of the field.
