This is an idea I had. Warrior Raccons!

Name: Swacoon (SWAmp+racCOON)
Element: Poisin
Pokedex Type: Raccoon
Description: See Above on Left.
Abilities: Frisk or Runaway
Pokedex Info: It is a dangerous opponet, for it fights fiercely and can easily poisin using it's fur spikes. (94)
It guards food jealously and fiercely. It can fight well and with an amazing amount of power. (98)
Ht.: 3'7
Wt.:43 lbs.
Evolution: to Racarcass at lv. 25 with fainted Marline in party.

7-Poisin Prod
15-Rabies
19-Toxic Spikes

Pokedex Info: Many people believe it is a swamp demon because of its visible ribcage and its two tails. (88)
It can use it's two tails to a great extent. It's tail of bone rattles noisily at night, causing panic in some. (100)
Evolution: from Swacoon at lv. 25 with fainted Marline in party.

Pokémon Factory Worker

Swacoon sounds exactly like a normal raccoon, except with a fish carcass. This makes it extremely similar to Ninjacoon, differing only in items. I also don't understand the swamp etymology. As for moves, Thief and Fake Out come to mind immediately.

I didn't know about the other dark/fight raccoons. Swamp is because raccoons will scavenge in that type of area (as far as I know). btw I'm new here.

Maybe it can be a poison type instead of dark, since its around swamps, like you said.

And maybe for the evolution, instead if it being poison/fighting, it can be poison/ghost, by fusing with the fish carcass it carries. This leads to an opening of a new item.

Dead fish

Hold item

Effect: Powers up poison type moves 1.5x, also repels wild pokemon lower than holder

Evolves Swacoon into Waracoon when held after reaching lvl 25

Nice ideas, patricol. I've been thinking of the pokedex. Here's what I got for Swacoon.

SWACOON looks very docile, but is actually quite fierce. The fish carcass it holds is most likely it's last meal. SWACOON has poisin in it's claws, which makes it a formidible opponet.

I don't know if it's good or has enough characters. I was thinking Aftermath or Guts for the special ability.

I don't think the names agree with the types and evo method. How about Racarcass for the evo (RACcoon + CARCASS)?
