There are plenty of trading-only pokemon, but what about gifts?

There are a lot in the main games (besides starters), so I say do so with PF. Even if some of the traded ones get switched to this.

Yeah, I mean we can already catch like over 300 Pokemon in the wild normally, we can evolve them into like 400 more, and then there are trades. Most of the non-legendaries can already be caught.

I agree with Flarsable: there's no real point to this. In the games, such pokémon are an easy 'catch' instead of having to catch them the regular way. In the PFL, however, you are in control of the catching process, so with that in mind most of the pokémon you encounter can be seen as 'gifts'... Anyways, we might do some more event pokémon in the future, and maybe some of those will be gifts ^-^

It is stated on the Placings List that you can't catch it, only see it.

@Flarsable: No, it is stated on the Placings List that it is only catchable in December ;P

@Jigglyclops: Yeah, I think you'll have to catch it. These jolly pokémon will simply be floating around happily over at the Askorun Wastes in December. Because they are a rare sight, it wouldn't be fitting to simply give them away ^-^

If that's the case you might wanna change the Placings List because my eyes aren't deceiving me right now and Niklus is under the Uncatchable area right now.

I think that might wanna be changed to Event, because apparently that's what a stationayr legendary is called. At least, that's what it says on Bulbapedia.
