I feel like the fishing tail should either be emphasized or dropped. I think it is a great idea to have a land anglerfish (which is what I think you are going for) but you don't emphasize it enough. It is almost 3/4 of the length of the entire thing, which would be an incredibly important part of the Pokemon. The move set and most of the description make it seem like the tail is really not that important.

Also, the spikes forward vs backwards deciding poison point would be a significant difference. Maybe you could give it only poison point or give it intimidate and something else like suggested before.

It learns 4 Tail based moves. The most I could add to it that makes sense would be Tail Whip, and Tail Whip would have to fill up a very coveted move slot, because there isn't much space on the level up move slots.

Anyway, the fact it gets new moves purely for it's tail should be emphasis enough.

Emphasis on the tail. Not on the fishing. But it fishing for its food is just explaining where it gets its groceries. Nothing to be emphasized or dropped.

That image is a pretty much to scale drawing. The drawing is terrible, but you get the idea that the tail is incredibly long. Maybe that is exactly what you are going for, but I feel that it looks a little strange. Also, it does have a bunch of tail moves, I was wrong about that.

@Therislash: Yes, your mouth was inspirational, but that isn't the point. That drawing is terrible. My only point is that the tail takes up almost 4/3 of the image and the body is squished into a small space.

Maybe the tail could be like the tail of Minos from Dante's Inferno (curled around its belly when not in use (although technically, the OPPOSITE is true for Minos (he curls his tail, and has it loose when its not in use (hey, that rhymed!))))?

or else the idea would be dead
below the body it wouldn't fit
and the idea wouldn't be a hit
unless it was given wings
but that would change things
No wings is how it is

I agree with SoR in some ways - first of all, there's no way that Viladrake could support itself on those four tiny legs in JDL's pic. I think the best answer may be to just add more legs - two more sets, maybe?
