You know, a lot of these names would be a lot more tolerable if I had any clue as to where they came from. I mean, Cofagrigus? I see coffin; what the heck is the rest?
Also, I had the same reaction as EP; Woobat?

Personally, my favorite is Patrat. You can easily tell it comes from PATRol and RAT.

Woobat is not all that bad, and it rhymes with Zubat, and you can tell where the name came from (WOOlly and BAT).

Reuniclus is pretty good, and now we know that it is indeed based off of a homonculus or whatever.

Gothetille? That's it, I'm getting White.

Axew is my second favorite, as I can tell that the name comes from axe and chew without it being painfully obvious.

Braviary is awesome. No questions.

Cofagrigus is fairly unpleasant. It makes me rethink getting a Cofagrigus.

Musharna is meh.

Random Rambling Ahead:

There seems to be a lot of k's in the pokemon names this generation. Ironically, this is the region supposed to be based off of New York; yet the names of pokes from previous generations sound more "American" than these. That isn't a complaint BTW, it's just a really weird observation.

I'm not buying a good portion of the names. Here's why: look at Tepig's second stage name. Pignite. The same thing a good chunk of the fanbase called Tepig prior to its English name being revealed. Also: Ducklett, Deerling, Krookodile, Throh, Sawk, Cottonee, Heatmor. Tell me that there's not a little bit of doubt in your mind about them. I'm waiting for official, Nintendo-revealed names before I judge how they fit.

I don't think those are the real names either, but I'm hoping Foongus and Amoongus are real. HILARIOUS.

Also, I thought Patrat was a derivative of Patriot and Rat, but Patrol seems more believable.

EDIT: How did they even get those names for Riguree and Oobemu?

EDIT 2: I kind of like Durant... But Heatmor? My evolution & pre-evolution (receptively) names sound far better. (Those wondering... Formonstra and Cendravoj. How did I come to those? First one is an amalgam of Formicidae, Monster, and Ant. The second, Encendre [Catalan for kindle] & Mravojed [Croatian for anteater]. Oh, and I will be suggesting these eventually.)
