Yeah but it looks like Nintendo´s itching to make Charizard a Dragon.
BTW I couldn´t resist and I peeked at them, the water otter is PURE AWESOMENESS!! So what if it looks like Swampert/Salamence it MAY be the first starter that is ice type!

So far, I have been pleased with everything that has been revealed about Pokemon B/W, however, the starter evolutions are just... awful. They look extremely flamboyant and just odd.

Sigh... looks I'll be keeping an Everstone on Mijumaru. That is, if the evolutions are real.

Oh no, I forgot they could still be fake.
As a competitive battler I still say that the feeling of beating the regional champion with your fully-evolved starter is a great one.

Yeah, it is :D

What strikes me is that the water starter switches the color of its main body each time it evolves, but the current stage always has a hint of the color of its evolved form. White and light-blue becomes light-blue. Light-blue also has dark-blue, which is the color of the final evo. That at least helps making them look a bit more alike. Anyways, as with all starters, I'm not too fond of the middle stagees, especially the grass one looks too much like the basic stage, but the final ones are pretty cool :D

The only starter evo I actually like is Pokabu's 2nd form. Mijumaru's final form looks too much like a Digimon for me to really like it.

Starters are fake. Pokabu 2nd is based on Lickilicky, 3rd is Rhyperior. 3rd Tsutaaja is Milotic, and Mijumaru is Dialga. Plus the creator said they're fake.
Thanks to SCD for helpinge me realize the direct rip-offs.

The art is at least a little convincing, and the interviews with the designers at pokebeach and bulbapedia about the designs seem to match with the pictures. (Grass starter looks Western, Fire looks Chinese, and Water looks Japanese.)
I'm not sure of your source though; as currently, most of the big news sites are scratching their heads about those images' validity.

The final starter evos were in the same images as the stage 1's, that pretty much confirms their existence.

I'm going to murder Nintendo for making Pokabu evolve into another Fire/Fighting. I really am.

Crazy theory: Kibago evolves into Ononkusu or whatever. Think: They're both Dragon-type, Kibago has tusks while Ono has axe jaws, they have the same color scheme, it makes perfect sense people! Think about it! I demand you do! Then again, seeing Iris with Ono in her hair creeps me out. :P
