Eh....actually, I dislike that girl. She looks like an eight year-old, somehow. I can only hope I will grow used to her---and that she at least has an interest in battles, even if she ends up to be a Coordinator. Knowing so many episodes, Dawn is not quite a sissy and certainly not a Mary Sue, but....she is not "juicy". The watching of battles is of a more enjoyable fare than watching contests. I really should not be quite this up-with-the-times, through...it took some time for me to stuff "Naetle", "Hikozaru", and "Pochama" into the back of my mind to fit in "Turtwig", "Chimchar", and "Piplup". I hope Brock comes back, through. I like Brock, and unless the new girl can cook on the road, Ash still needs him around.

I also had quite a hard time calling Pochama Piplup and Naetoru Turtwig. I dislike her appearance as well - seems like Sugimori enjoys big hair this gen...
But yeah, Tsutaaja is Grass/Dark. I'm excited.

Judging by her outfit, and considering how they have been portrayed in anime in the past (see: Nakoruru and Horo Horo), I think this new girl might be based on the Ainu people. It would certainly be interesting if Isshu featured an indigenous tribe or community.

Very interesting. I assume Ash is going to have a hard time in Isshu, different cultures, different kind of setting, almost unrecognizable Pokemon, etc., etc., Best Wishes (title of Generation V season) to Ash, I assume!

Wait, so if Tsutaja's evo looks Dark type, Mijumaru's evo looks Fighting type, Maybe Pokabu's evo will be Pshychic type to complete the triangle! (although very unlikely)

It would be interesting if the did change up the type relationships, but you have to remember that last time they did that was because they added two new types and psychic was kind of broken in the original game. So if they do change it would be just to change things up because I can't really seeing any need for more balancing.

While its great to see new pokemon I would rather they not be leaked or seen briefly through snippets of gameplay. Official pictures and screenshots would be nice.

I'm interested in seeing if the spider has any relation to the Spinarak-line and what the bat pokemon floating by Jesse's head in the character sketches evolves into.

Well, Denchura's name origin comes from Electricity and Tarantula, so its propobally not related to them. I think the pokemon near Iris looks like Ononokusu's Pre-evo.

Iris (to her Ononokusu prevo): Awwww! You so cuuute! Yes you is! Yes you is!
(Ononokusu Prevo evolves)
Iris: OMGZ! Your'e going to be so much cuter now! (Ononokusu pops up as the finished product) WTH! That's not cute! Oh well........ Who's my horrible giant monster? You is! Yes you is! (etc.)

Also, I think Koromori is based off a fruit bat, which usually have fluffy little babies. Essentially, Koromori is going to have badass evos (which are vegetarian). Denchura is probably going to be a counterpart to either Heracross or Beedrill or Ariados, I'm not sure which.
