EDIT: Serebii has released the release date 4 Japan. I know it dosen't really matter for us in North America or Europe, but, whatev. It Sept. 18 2010! And, some more pics were added!

Also, have you seen the new Pokemon announced a few minutes ago on Serebii? I want some of the crack GameFreak's been smoking.

UPDATELICIOUS: I looked at the pics again: Triple battles!

UPDATE2: Saw the filb.de trailer. The guy who says 'I will surpass the Champion' is either the villain's son, or the villain (the weird guy at the start holding the staff) with a little wardrobe change and some makeup (ie; Would you Kindly-style plot twist). In my mind, the Professor (Araragi/Orchid) is your mother this time around, as you see a present holding the Starter Pokeballs (this also suggests we will see a full family, as in RSE, since Araragi will be hiding out in her lab, not loving her child as she would usually, so the dad will have to stay at home and not off himself/leave his wife before the game starts, or run away to become a gym leader). Also, the new Pokemon look much better in a moving shot. I still wonder what drugs are required for their design. Also, it says 'White no Global link'. This means one version cannot connect fully to the internet like the other can, which pisses me off, since I want Zekrom and that cool internet connection thing (it's like they're preaching black supremacy).

Bwahaha. "No" is a possessive adjective or something in Japanese. Check Serebii - the name is White High-Link.

Also, I dislike the fact that it's face to face things like shown with the green-hair guy - it's getting farther away from pokemon.

Three on three? Meh. The moles look awesome of the new pokemon.

Also, @Rayquaza - release date totally affects us. It gives us an idea of when the game comes out.

And again there are people complaining about the designs... WTH tasteless fandom?! Those eight new pokemon look intriguing, the more obvious ones are cool, like the moles, the sarcophagus (WITH HANDS OF EVIL), and the tarantula. What I'm wondering about are those three creatures in the triple battle shot; A green, translucent thing, a Nosepass relative of some sort? And a girl in black wearing lots of bows, like an evil Gardevoir.

I was wondering about those three as well. The green thing looks pretty cool - it's actually a skeleton controlling the green. The thing that looks like Nosepass... that thing's awesome. And from Shimama's sprite, I think it has a level 40 evo - it's a Rapidash counterpart. I say this cus it's small. And... The girl in black is too humanoid for my tastes. The mantis, the mole, and the tarantula all look great though, although the mole's sprite is in an awkward position... hope it was just that frame.

*shrug* There are some less-than-clever ones each Generation. In Generation I, it was Jynx, and "lazy evolutions" (such as let's-fuse-three-into-one evolutions of Magneton, Dugtrio, and Dodrio) and Electrode, along with absolutely silly-expression Exeggutor. Actually, the only one I really dislike of that Generation is Jynx...

Generation IV, there is...Lickilicky. Probopass might not strike me as the most beautiful of Pokémon, and it still is not a favorite, but once you try drawing it---as I have on Paint---it gives you a new, and more flattering perspective. Also, Purugly. I wish I did not dislike it so much, it is simply depicted so unflatteringly...

The girly one in black...I will give it the Jynx treatment and pretend it does not exist. I will wait until clearer screenshots and pictures are provided for the others. As for the green-haired man...well, we were warned that the human character model did change somewhat in HG/SS. Compare FireRed and LeafGreen's Red with HeartGold and SoulSilver's Gold. They do look different.

I imagine I might even play as the boy this Generation...unless you can customize them enough to change their ridiculous beehive-ponytail and give the girl some decent pants. Oh, why....why is it always the boy with the cool lower outfit portion? Not even jeans for the girl....(I like the male's outfit---his jacket, his pants.)

Eh, those new Pokémon look kinda over-designed. I feel that I'm gonna love the sarcophagus, though, and I'm excited by the possibility of the tarantula being an Ariados evolution.

Well, look on the bright side, I think GameFreak knows this, and is trying to keep it real, or realistically like Pokemon. No matter what horrid things happen to its storyline, we'll still have that sense of adventure, the ability to trade off Pokemon, Gyms, the Elite Four, Battling your friends, etc.

Also, I really think the villain guy and the Mr. "Surpass the Champion" are one in the same. I see another Atlas-type character coming along (in Bioshock, Atlas' voice cracks, which seems to make him sound a bit like he's faking his own voice. In B/W, the character who is the villain in incgnito could, for example, have slight appearance changes; or when he comes to 'help you fight the legendary' he randomly runs off.)
Also, I now belive bullheadedly thar Prof. Araragi/Orchid is the player characters mother (and she likely is, as the starter Pokemon are inside a present box, and Araragi herself is just the shilloutte of the mother character with a new hairdo, earrings, face, clothes, and a labcoat.)

(Oh, what humor it would be if the Digmon fans complain that the new Digmon look like Pokémon, and are underdesigned.)

Meguroko looks great, through. It is cute without trying too hard like Mijumaru. Meguroko....some people call it a "robber's mask", but its patterning still strikes me as a pair of glasses, and as an appreciator of glasses, to find one stylistically inbuilt with some makes me really like it.
