Considering its special move, I assume its another Manaphy! lol no. I really just think it's a standalone. The crocodile is definitely a Pseudolegendary or another Aron, the Zebra and Crazy Monkey-thing are definitely counterparts, and the Chinchilla is a Pokemon we won't naturally encounter 'til Victory Road. Or its Pikatwo, the mythical Pokemon that will become Pikachu's other counterpart. Mamepato is the starting route bird, and Giaru/Gear obviously has a badass evolution, which probably has something to do with Plusle and Minun. If anything, it would be funny to see Mrs. Araragi (who, in America, according to a Google Translator run, will be named Professor Orchid) be your mom. If you look closely, it's pretty much the DPPt mom in a lab coat with a new hairdo.
