With all the pictures, did others see the more specific definition of Illusion? It says that when Zoroark is released, it will look like any random Pokemon, but still have its Dark type. Imagine having the other trainer send out a Weezing, and you using Psybeam, and it says, "It doesn't affect Weezing", and you're like, "WHAT!?!?!?!" Something like that.

Hopefully, it's only Zoroark transformations. It also mentions that the name will be slightly different. So maybe Entie & Riakou? Or Raikuo? SOemthing liek that?

Out of the starters, the Pig would be my fave. Maybe I just always loved Fire-types or pigs or whatever but it looks the best out of the three.

The Grass one would be my next fave but lets hope it goes to something better.

As for the water starter... my Mommy taught me if you don't have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all...

tsutaaja is what the grass one has been being called pokabu is the fire type and mijumaru is the water i would choose tsutaaja as my starter if I ever manage to play black or white cuz I cant get enough money to get a ds or a game card :C . btw has anyone said what the region is called if not its so far called isshu

That'd be great for PF. However, when did they change from RSE-like shading to DP-style for Diamond and Pearl? I remember Weavile having a different sprite before, that was more like the RSE-style sprites... With that in mind, they might change the sprites along the way. I do hope they won't, though.

You know what would be AWESOME? If Zoroark ran around the region like Cresselia and Mesprit. Keep in mind Zoroark's ability to enter battle as another Pokemon and you have TOTAL WIN.

If the sprites are official, then the tree snake's cuteness is wasted. The sea otter's cuteness is wasted by that inverted-V mouth.....if one could only get rid of the ridiculous mouth shape, then it would be much cuter. Zorua's scruff of fur is....not to my preference, disproportional and not anything cute. I should stop seeing them only for the cuteness value, through....then again, I observe them from a potential commercial standpoint, because previous starters have been used in a cute-mascots-to-put-on-merchandise manner.

Mmm, I like the fire pig - even on concept basis, it's pure, unadulterated WIN. Helps that the sprite of it is the cutest thing ever. (Yes, I have lvl 100 Grumpig already, thankyouverymuch.)

Although, this generation will have me breaking the basis of "Grass starter is the best" I've had until now(I have all Grass starters @ lvl 100 and none of the fire or water ones) :P

No. It makes no difference. MY guess is that the Illusion ability changes to a pokemon in your party, taking its stats, moves, ability, and species name if Zoroark isn't nick'd. Until it takes enough damage, it stays like that. It makes very little difference to the trainer without a Zoroark unless Dark and the type Zoroark looks like it should be changes a move's effectiveness, and then they know it's a Zoroark and deal with it accordingly. One could even scheme to keep Zoroark in that form if it suited them.

Yeah, but do you think they're only preliminary and they'll change them? I hope so, because the Grass starter's sprite is way less awesome than Sugimori's art (reminds me of how they screwed up Arceus, although nothing can beat how crappy Arceus' sprite was in comparison with its art).

I also hope the sprites aren't the official ones.The fire pig looks like it's on a toilet. The sea otter looks like it's a hunted and stuffed snowman. The grass snake (if it is one) looks just...disturbing.

I'm thinking... they said on Serebii that now sprites will be more animated than ever, with animations in-between turns and during attacks. So, maybe the sprites are being simplified to make animating them easier... though I certainly hope that's not the case, that would be quite cheap on Nintendo/Game Freak's part.
