Hey guys, it's KookyKoopa12 again. I've always wanted there to be a sauropod Pokemon and there was never one made (except Tropius but that really doesn't count). That made me somewhat upset because sauropods are some of the most majestic and amazing animals that ever lived.

MARBRONT (marble + Brontosaurus)
Pokedex Type: The Long Neck Pokemon

I think it's good, but the color scheme could use a little work, maybe less offensive moves.

I have to say I personally love the idea of Sauropod pokemon as a matter of fact I was in the process of reviving my old fossil sauropod ideas from before the switch (mine were electric/steel though)

that said I also agree with Therislash on the point of it needing more non-offensive moves

I'm thinking this is GOOD. And needs no secondary type IMNSHO.

Could probably use a defensive/status move or two in there. As for the Crush Stomp, I'd assume it moves first on the second turn, negating the fact that it (probably) is slower than the opposition, aye? Considering the flinch and all. I approve of this move.

The second ability could be Frisk, possibly - given it's long neck, it could easily spot out the other's item

Or Heatproof, while not *that* useful for a Rock type, it would make an awful lot of sense.
Huge Power comes to mind as well.
Or even Marvel Scale(Milotic can go to hell).
It could be Oblivious - and at least I'd feel rather Pressured if I was attacking something that humongous.

All right. I like your suggestions. I changed Marbront and Basaltosor's coloration a little bit. And I decided that Marbront would have Frisk (because children are always curious) and Basaltosor would have Pressure (I'd be scared of something that enormous too). Huge Power looks exclusive to the Marill family. I was gonna make Basaltosor Rock/Steel but I felt like it didn't need the extra defense. The "second-turn-always-goes first" thing makes sense, 'cause Marbront and Basaltosor are probably going to be some of the SLOWEST Pokemon out there. I'll try and add some more defensive/status moves (I was thinking Iron Defense and Sandstorm).

I was afraid you guys were gonna get angry at me because it's a fossil and for some reason I thought fossils (like starters) can only be made by the staff. But what do you think are some suggestions for defensive/support moves?

Fossils are allowed, but we've seen a couple of bad ones in the past, and we don't want to get flooded with them. I think we at one point indeed discussed to make them Staff-only, but never made that decision. So, these are okay ^-^

I'm fine with Rock Polish and Sandstorm. Stealth Rock, on the other hand, seems to me like a mainly TM move. The Marbront line would definitely be able to learn those by TM. Would this be considered a "good fossil" line?

What I was trying to get at is Basaltosor should be part dragon for a few reasons:

-We never had a rock/dragon type pokemon before.

-We never had a dragon-type fossil pokemon before.

-I think a dragon type would fit Basaltosor well.

There are QUITE a few differences between a dragon and a dinosaur.... sure, ancient people thought dinosaur bones were dragon bones, and they're both large reptiles, but that's really the only thing they have to do with each other. Basaltosor has no draconic characteristics, and it seems like the only reason you want Basaltosor to be a Dragon-type is because we've never had a Dragon-type fossil Pokemon or a Rock/Dragon type.... so no, I do not think Basaltosor should be part Dragon-type. Full Rock is fine.

I think SKull Bash is a must here (I love it, its a classic

, but underappreciated) I also think that Tail Whip should be in place of Leer. Iron Tail is also a possibility, but it could learn that by TM.

I don't think Skull Bash would work. Sauropods had quite delicate heads.... and I don't think lowering its head like that was healthy. XD But I did give it Tail Whip instead of Leer. Thank you.

It's not really a bad idea, and even though it looks quite armored and heavy, Basaltosor's head is actually kinda brittle.

EDIT: I've thought it over and I thought, if it can bend its head down to take a drink of water, why shouldn't it be able to use Skull Bash? Therefore, I gave the two Pokemon that move. In addition, I replaced their first ability, Rock Head, with Sturdy, due to the fact that neither of them really have any recoil moves. This should work a lot better.

I actually like Huge Power much more as an ability, considering that although it could see what the opponent is holding, so can most other pokemon - other pokemon have Frisk because of their speed.
