This is pretty comprehensive...I hope i didn't overdo it. I've just had this on my mind for years, and now I'm finally able to submit it, so I want to make it as good as possible.
So, anyway, I think now that Dusknoir exists, there needs to be an evolution for Banette as well. Here's what I came up with:
Murmette E3 G GHST
Murmur Pokemon
Ability: Insomnia/Levitate
Ht: 5'1" Wt: 67 lbs
Description: Basically similar to Banette, except for the following changes:
1. It is taller and weighs more.
2. The body is the same purple color as a SHUPPET. On the back of each palm of its hands there is a spot of gold. The head has long, dull red marks where the eyebrows should be. These marks flow into the hair-blob-thing mentioned below. I think, maybe, there should be more gold marks on the body. I think it should look like an old marionette, with spots of gold to show how it used to be colorful.
3. Its head is larger, and is farther forward from the body. To explain, if Banette's head and neck look like this when it is seen in profile facing the right:
_______________________________________________________________________000 (Head)
_..______________________________________________________________________0 (Neck)
Then Murmette looks like this when it is seen in profile facing the right:__________________000 (Head)
_______________________________________________________________________0 (Neck)
I hope that anyone can even understand that.
4. The mouth is sown shut, and its eyes are sad.
5. It has very long, black hair (almost the length of its body for females) that looks almost like a solid object until near the bottom, where it splits into large strands of frayed grey rope, and in certain areas mentioned in a bit. It is like Banettes hair, but fuller and less zig-zaggy...To use a better comparison from the (ugh) TV show, its like a droopier version of Jessie's hair. Also, the aforementioned red eyebrow marks are the same color as Jessie's hair. (I was thinking of making all of the hair that color, but decided against it. Maybe that would be better, though. You guys can choose.)
6. It has stubby fingers and arms about the length of Banette's. Its legs hang uselessly below its torso.
7. MOST IMPORTANTLY, as it is a marionette, it has thin but visible strings connected to it in various places. The strings will not end in the sprite of the pokemon. Many of the strings will be on the hair and head. For the placement of strings on the body, just think where a regular marionette would have them.
8. Females have longer hair than males.
Data:
It despises children. Its strings can pass through
anything, and seem to extend upwards infinitely.
Some believe that if it could open its mouth, it would
say who sewed it shut, and where its strings lead.
Item needed to evolve:
Old Twine (Or maybe Old Strings or Worn Twine) (Edit: It could evolve with the Reaper Cloth, like Dusknoir)
Moveset
-- Transpire
--Screech

HP 3/5
Speed 3/5
Attack 4/5
Defense 2/5
Sp. Attack 4/5
Sp. Defense 3/5
EVs: 2 Attack
2 Sp. Attack
*Seeing as placing these two moves together might push Murmette a bit too far into the creepy zone, it is possible for them to be rearranged.
New Ability:
Careless: Prevents Confusion and Infatuation, but lowers defense.
New Moves:
Murmur:
None
10 PP
75 AC
Inflicts a random status condition on the opponent.
Sob:
None
5 PP
85 AC
Lowers all of opponents stats by one.
Pitch-Black:
None
5 PP
N/A
All moves except for no-miss moves miss for the rest of the turn. It may fail if used in succession. However, unlike other moves with this condition, such as Protect or Endure, this move does not always go first.
. . .
Well, there you go! My first submission. As soon as I complete the data, I will submit an evolutionary chain I created, with two pokemon, both Fighting-Flying types. Here are their names. The first evolves into the second.
