Maybe people released them and that's how they got out there... 0.0 I like these. Reminds me of that one Digimon from the Frontier season. Calamarimon or something?

You mean that ugly squid thing that was the cute blue Digimon's (I forget her name) Beast form? Yeah, now that I think about it, that Digimon's kinda similar. But Medusiren is lovely.

@Zelda Fan: Thanks! I tried to incorporate a little of Tentacool into Medusiren so she didn't change form COMPLETELY.

@soble92: For one thing, it's not a squid, it's a jellyfish. Secondly, by that I meant it can turn human temporarily kind of like Latias except without the whole "light bending" thing, it's magic. It still needs to stay wet so it doesn't really stray far from the ocean.

I really love this idea, I've had ideas about making a Siren pokemon too, but I never would have concieved of it being an evolution of Tentacool, very cool indeed.

One thing though, why on earth doesn't this babe learn Perish Song?

Oh, and just because it's not found in the wild in the game, doesn't mean you can't mention it being found "in the wild". I think all Pokemon can be found in the wild somewhere, like far out into the wilderness. Otherwise it would just be silly, right? And this is a second stage form, so it's plausible it could be found in the wild in the game. The reason Gallade isn't found in the wild is that it's a third stage form. The only third forms found in the wild in the games are the bug pokemon like butterfree or dustox that evolve at level 10.

Yeah, good point. But, while I know it's not a stone evolver, Steelix can be found in the wild, and it doesn't exactly have a typical method of evolution... So I don't think the rule is that strict. I think there should be places that are "high in stone radiation" or something where stone evolvers can be found and would evovle after battle... But that's just an idea.

@AlexFantastico: Perish Song does seem like a good move idea. I'll try and see where that can fit in.

@elementalpenguin: There was a wild Froslass in an episode of the anime, if that has any bearing... I really liked that RPG plot idea, but if you guys want me to put Medusiren as an evolve-only Pokemon I will.

I still disagree, but whatever. It doesn't make sense - you don't see wild Gallade or Arcanine walking around.
However, I think you could make it work as a plot point anyways, with some creativity... it mauled its trainer upon evolving? Meh.

Multiple times in the anime they find evolved pokemon in the wild. I remember one episode revolving around a small competition between May and Drew over a wild Arcanine... but that's not the point. All pokemon appear in the wild somewhere. They're just generally way too rare to be found. Like maybe there's only one Arcanine in the entire region, or at least the route, but Medusiren is one of those pokemon too rare to actually be found IMO.

Maybe not "mauled", but perhaps when the Medusiren's (male) trainer evolved it, he was "never seen again"? :P
