Well, if they're up to the Battle Revolution standard I'm okay with it. Those things were GORGEOUS and one of the few things worth getting the game for.

I'm hoping for the fifth generation. Sprites are nice for art's sake, but they are limiting. Let's step it up Nintendo!

It would be great for the National Dex if they would switch to 3D models, since that would mean I don't have to resprite the PF pokémon that have appeared there yet again in the new style XD

Even so, I do tend to agree with soble; I'd like it if they stuck with sprites. The sprites can't get much better than the DP-style ones, though, which could be a reason for them to switch to 3D...

As long as Pokémon doesn't hit the Polygon ceiling (or, the Porygon ceiling :P), I'm okay.
Though, the actions in Battle Revolution seemed pretty... lame.
It was run... run... run... run... run... run... run (real slowly), attack, run back... run back... run back... run back, stop, turn around.
The opponent could have sneaked in dozens of attacks there.

It's better than in Generation III, where they didn't even make contact, just them rushing off the screen and inflicting damage.

Don't knock it 'til you try it. I thought the same exact thing about the Nintendo DS and I have been pleasantly surprised. I agree with JDLJDL. If Game Freak does 3D then they need to do better than Battle Revolution.
