I never imagined they would release a new handheld so soon.

So... generation V might be in full 3D? That wakes up interesting possibilities...

No, a new handheld. They're different. True, it hasn't been long since the DSi, but I think that was just an 'upgrade' like the Advance SP was. It's been what, 4-5 years since the DS? I say about time.

I doubt this wil be coming out for a long while. They haven't expanded 3-D beyond movies yet, and that was at least a year ago.

Does anyone see a similarity between this and the Virtual Boy or SEGA's Genesis 3-D glasses peripheral?
Both of those failed miserably.

Long, long ago? You make me feel old.

Nonetheless, I don't think this will fail. Why? First, what Flarsable said.

Second, the only reason Virtual Boy failed was because of dizziness and no color.

I don't think the 3DS will be monochrome, and as it has no glasses or visor, there shouldn't be any dizziness.

As long as Nintendo stays creative in their concepts, anything will sell.

I... am really apprehensive about this. I'm afraid the 3D will cause headaches, and I get migraines... plus, if it does, Nintendo is in trouble.

Pokémon Factory Worker

Well, its most likely that the next Pokemon games will be on this handheld so I will be getting it just for pokemon. Hopefully they will have other good games. Knowing Nintendo's past experience with their handhelds, even the Virtual Boy, they will make other good games. Here's hoping that they will do a similar thing they do with Wii's Virtual Console, with old Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance games. I wouldn't mind if they threw in some other handheld systems such as Wonderswan or Sega's GameGear. There are a lot of games that I want to play (legally mind you). They are now either hard to find or more expensive than I want to pay for them.
