...or at least from the land of fire and ice!
I had a weird sighting the other day; it seemed like a Ponyta at first glance, but after I caught a look of it the second time it looked nothing like it. This creature was much stockier in looks, its mane was not on fire, and don't ask me *how*, but seemed to exude both heat and cold out of its body (judging from the grass nearby afterwards). It however fled before I could get a better look - surprisingly fast for being so, ehm, "well-stocked."
(So a pokemon based on Icelandic pony that is probably *not* a Ponyta evolution despite similarities.)

Before evolution, we have a physical manifestation of physical impossibility; Confliquus. It indeed controls both Fire and Ice(and Wind to a lesser degree) pretty well and can produce either heat or cold depending on many things, including but not limited to "if it feels like it." One stocky body that has a fluid coloring ever-changingly swirling between light blue and bright red; both usually visible in relatively similar amounts, so from distance Confliquine looks purple'ish.
Evolution: Evolves at level 40 based on which ability it has: if it has Frigid, it evolves into Crysagus - and if Flame Body, it evolves into Flareasus.

Gender ratio: 50/50
Gender differences: males tend to be more towards red in their coloring, females towards blue
Stats: Rather round-about stats, with HP being the highest and speed lowest

Description: now this fella is more the classical pegasus, except for the whole fire thing. I just started thinking, just how huge wings would a small, long-haired chubby pony actually need to be able to fly? So in the end, Flareasus has absolutely huge(feathered) wings and even longer mane/tail than Confliquus. Flareasus' wings most certainly can carry it - they are positively huge and actually supported by huge flying muscles. This creature loves flying, and really, with fur that long, body that stocky and legs so short, flying would be it's preferred method of moving anyway. However, it tends to fly relatively low, liking the lower heights because of the temperature up there tends to get too cold for this fiery equine. Colors are a mix of yellow, orange and bright purple, with wings edging on white - and black hooves.
Evolution: lvl 40 if Confliquus has Flame Body as ability

Gender differences: male's beard is larger and darker; female's legs are a few shades darker

Description: the picture explains better, but here's the gist of it: it's still a(rather fat) pony that has let the cold side take over. But it's wings developed to something resembling chinese fans rather than something made for flying. It got better control over the Wind than Confliquine, but cannot fly and developed a very odd species-specific fear of heights; it likes high mountains because it's cold in there, but at the same time hates being so high in there. As you can see, Crysagus doesn't like being high. But tends to go high because it likes being in cold and it's preferred food has a tendency to grow up there. It has huge wings, or well, "fans" with which it can manipulate wind enough to make... well, not flying, more like "controlled falling." It controls Wind very well but can't fly to save its' life; it is, after all, a rather fat pony with wings that couldn't float a tenth of it's weight in the air, let alone Crysagus - heck, said wings are not even a physical part of it's body! Colors are light blue/white on the body and light purple/white/transparent on "wings" - white hooves seal the deal.
