This time, Lumin was ready. "TK, get out of the way!" He saw TK's vision suddenly move left, as he quickly jumped away from the Nevermore's attack. Lumin gave a silent sigh of relief, then returned another command. "Now, TK, weaken the Nevermore with Growl!" There was no movement this time, but Lumin heard an odd growling sound emanate from his Pokemon. Through TK's eyes, he saw the Nevermore flinch and take a few steps back.

(OOC: It doesn't really change anything here, but please keep in mind that controlling the pokemon of a character this is controlled by someone else is not acceptable. This includes dictating how an opposing pokemon reacts to an attack.)

Nevermore flinched from the harsh sound and took a few hesitant steps back, looking more nervous than before.

Trying to rally his pokemon, Aaron called. "Don't be afraid, Nevermore, you're doing fine. Growl right back."

His pokemon fluffed out its feathers as it visibly tried to gather its courage, then growled loudly at Ralts.

Through the eyes of his Pokemon, Lumin saw TK move back suddenly, as if he was flinching. He figured he would have to go on the offensive before the Nevermore made TK's attacks too weak to do any damage. "TK, use Shadow Sneak again!" Lumin's vision moved up and down as TK acknowledged his command. The same black flash appeared, and again TK had moved to a different location. However, this time TK had appeared above the Nevermore, and was plummeting toward the bird in a shadowy attack.

The sudden attack from above knocked Nevermore to the ground. It struggled a bit, trying to knock TK off of it.

"Peck it off of you," Aaron instructed.

Nevermore twisted its neck to try to jab its beak at the pokemon on its back.

TK jumped off of the Nevermore's back when it saw the bird resisting, then poofed back to Lumin. "Alright TK, try another Shadow Sneak!" But by the time Lumin had given the command, TK had already traveled through the shadow dimension and was flying toward the Nevermore at a fast speed, aiming right for the bird's head. Lumin was confused by his Pokemon's sudden spontaneity, but he looked forward and braced for impact.

Nevermore was knocked over once more, and when it stood up Aaron noticed that it was moving more slowly than before.

"Keep it up Nevermore, Tackle now," Aaron called.

His pokemon looked around to find where TK was now before rushing at the psychic-type.

TK, still slightly dazed from the sudden return to the real world, was hit hard by the tackle. It got back up, still with a fighting spirit. Lumin clenched his teeth, knowing TK couldn't take too much more. But through TK, he saw that the Nevermore seemed slightly tired too. "TK, one more time! Shadow Sneak!" TK phased out of the real world, into the dark shadowy world Lumin was becoming very used to. He was starting to see more clearly in this world through TK, and noticed now that he could see the real world from the shadow one. He also noticed that TK was going for a head-on assault on the Nevermore.

Although Nevermore had seen TK disappear and reappear a few times now, it still was unable to anticipate its opponent's reappearance and was hit hard. TK socked Nevermore solidly, knocking the bird over. It struggled for a bit before slumping to the ground.

"You did well, Nevermore. Return!" Aaron said, recalling the bird. He then tossed out a second pokeball, which released a ladybug-like pokemon. "Di ba!" the pokemon chirped as it appeared on the field.

"Ledyba, Growl," Aaron instructed.

His pokemon turned toward TK and released a loud growl.

Lumin saw the small bird fall to the ground, then he heard Aaron return it and release something that he figured was a Ledyba. This assumption was confirmed when Aaron commanded the small bug to use a growl attack on TK. The Ralts winced from the screeching growl, then turned back to the Ledyba. Not knowing what this Pokemon could do, Lumin decided to start as Aaron did: defensive. "TK, use a Growl too!" Lumin's vision leaned back a bit as Ralts gathered breath, then released a loud growl toward the ladybug.

Ledyba flinched a bit from the loud sound that TK had produced.

"Time for offense now, Ledyba. Use Tackle," Aaron called.

His pokemon quickly rushed at its opponent with intent to ram it.

The Ledyba's speed surprised Lumin as the ladybug hit TK, knocking him to the ground. Lumin could feel the pain of TK, as if they were connected. But he could tell the Ledyba hadn't hit as hard as it could have. He patted his own back in his mind for using Growl first. "Come on, TK! Get up!" His Ralts slowly stood up again, still looking ready for battle, but obviously worn. "All right, TK, use Shadow Sneak!" Lumin noticed something odd about the attack this time: the shadowy fog seemed to flicker a bit before engulfing the field, as if TK was so tired he was having trouble controlling it. Still, he saw TK slide through the darkness toward the Ledyba, then jump into the air for a ground-pound-like attack.

Leydba was quite puzzled when TK seemed to disappear, and was caught completely off guard when the Ralts appeared above it. It was pounded into the turf from the attack.

"Get up if you can," Aaron said. "And Growl."

His pokemon wobbled a bit as it tried to get its feet under it, and catch its breath at the same time. After a moment it stood up and growled, a bit breathlessly, at TK.

TK stumbled from the fierce Growl, and Lumin could feel the effect of the attack on his Pokemon. "Come on, TK! Another Shadow Sneak!" TK wobbled around a bit, very tired from the fighting, but phased himself into the shadow world, only to travel close to the Ledyba and phase back. Lumin knew that TK was taking a beating, but he had to keep going. TK felt the confidence in Lumin, and phased back into the other realm right in front of the Ledyba, then appeared behind the ladybug and lifted a shadow-covered hand to smash his enemy.

Ledyba was surprised when the TK appeared right in front of it, then disappeared again. It was caught off-guard by the sudden attack to its back as the Ralts smacked right across Ledyba's shell, making the bug flinch a little.

"Strike back with a Tackle," Aaron said.

His pokemon skittered forward a little before turning around, then running straight at its opponent.

Lumin noticed the helpfulness of TK's weakness as his Pokemon suddenly phased out by accident, appearing beside Aaron and dodging the Tackle. Lumin also noticed that his vision was being blurred by a soft light-green aura that was unknown to him. He didn't think anything of it and commanded one more Shadow Sneak from TK. This time, however, TK flickered in and out a few times before successfully entering the shadow realm. Lumin could tell that TK wasn't going to hold up much longer as his Ralts reappeared on top of the Ledyba, bringing a fist down on the bug's head.

Ledyba was slammed to the ground again, but this time it did not get up.

Aaron recalled his pokemon and told Lumin "Well done! You and TK work well together. You've certainly earned your victory, and this badge." He walked over to Lumin and held out a badge.

Lumin has received the Panorama Badge!

Aaron also held out a device that looked similar to a fancy red cell phone and said, "You also get a PFL pokedex. This one has a setting built in to read all the text out loud, and there's a volume button on the side. Good luck on your journey!

The connection between Lumin and TK was split as the battle ended, and Lumin was blind once again. The sudden darkness surprised him, but he held out his hand to receive the badge. He felt the oval-shaped badge in his hand, and by running his fingers over it, he could tell it was some sort of landscape. He put it in a pocket of his backpack, then took the Pokedex. He put it away also, then said goodbye to Aaron, walked into a wall, then turned toward the real door and walked out of the lab. He could tell TK was beside him by his aura, and Lumin patted him on the head. "Well TK, here we go. Tell me if I'm about to run into anything else." In his head, he heard a small voice. "Don't worry, Lumin. We'll be fine."

Lumin walked out of Professor Idaho's lab and looked around a bit, before remembering again that he couldn't see. He looked in the direction he thought TK was, and felt his friend's aura. The aura suddenly spiked in a direction, and Lumin wondered what that meant. He then felt himself being pulled towards the same direction, and realized that TK was trying to lead him with his aura. He followed TK into the nearby Pokemon Center, where he suddenly felt a terrible feeling: something dark was nearby, somewhere close. He quickly looked around, trying to understand where the feeling was coming from. His head was throbbing, so he felt his way to a couch and sat down.

"Sable?" a Sableye inquired, looking back warily at someone, a blond Trainer on a couch with a Ralts nearby. "Sableye?" a brown-haired female Trainer inquired with concern, after, with Nurse Joy's permission, peeling off a poster of the Gym Leader Aaron from the wall. "Anything bothering you at the moment?"

Sableye, quivering with either a restrained fear or repulsion at the blond Trainer's presence, scampered over to his brown-haired trainer. "Sableye, Sable..."

Understanding, or seeming to somehow understand Sableye's words, the Trainer looked at the person Sableye indicated. Carefully the Trainer deposited the poster of Aaron on a table, along with a pair of scissors left there earlier. She seemed fascinated at the blond Trainer, staring, or rather, gazing with interest or admiration at his very-blond hair.

"Hello, my name is Steph. I come from the Hoenn Region...." Steph started to introduce, before noticing the blond Trainer was not responding as quickly as persons typically would have in such a situation.

"Hm?" Lumin tilted his head up, hearing a girl's voice. He turned towards the direction of the voice. He tapped TK on the head once, and he was back in his Ralts' eyes again. He saw a brown-haired girl looking at him curiously, and a Sableye cowering on a nearby couch. "Um, hello. I'm Lumin. Is something wrong with your Sableye?" Even as he asked the question, he already knew the answer. The Sableye was scared of him.
