Easy peesy lime squeezy. Go catch a Hoothoot. I got stuck on Gardenia in my Pearl, and that's what I did. I am now finished (by that I mean, I got bored of it, and I got Platinum) with it now.

I managed to beat the leader in a landslide victory using Luxio only. This no longer goes under Dead Ends.

Mm, try breeding for a female Eevee of the right nature. I literally bred and hatched over two boxes worth of Eevee eggs before I just gave up and went with males for all of them.

12.5% chance to be female
either 4%, 8% or 12% chance for the right nature
approx 4000 steps per egg(given magma armor, ofc)

That could be classified as a "dead end"; I might try again with them before HGSS launches over here in Europe, though.

Pokémon Factory Worker

The biggest road block I ever had in pokemon was in Pokemon Blue. I was up to Sabrina and as many know there weren't many type advantages against Psychic at the time. I had no pokemon that could beat her and so I lost time and time again. Then my Beedrill learned Twineedle and I beat her toughest pokemon (Alakazam I believe) with just him. I was so happy with my Beedrill after beating her. I still have a soft spot in my heart for Beedrill.

The second one is in SoulSilver I kept losing against the Elite Four. By this time I had beating sixteen badges and still my pokemon weren't trained to high enough levels. Many of you have discovered that rematches are fewer in these games and I had no patiences training my level 60+ pokemon with meager level 40 wild pokemon. I ended up trading them to Diamond and training them on the Battle Frontier island.

I'm aware of the Everstone trick, but it only works on the female and if I had the female of right nature in the first place... you know, I wouldn't need to breed 'em? (Well, in theory if I needed multiple female Eevees with Modest/Adamant/Timid...) That, and I have a non-eeveelution father for them because of Egg moves.

And no, I'm not chugging eleventy billion Dittos with pokeballs either, not when it's a pokeradar or trophy garden pokemon, that's even MORE frustrating.

I got insanely lucky when breeding for my Umbreon though; first female Eevee I got out of egg was also Impish

If you still have a bunch of those Eevees I'll trade for one. Once I get my Wi-Fi that is. I want a Vopreon and maybe a Jolteon again. My Jolteon I had in blue was one of my best. Lost it with my cartridge.

@Flarsable: If I can't get a Ditto by the time I get my Wi-Fi would you trade one to me. Oi Pokeradar sucks. I can't even keep a chain going for mor than two rounds. No way will I ever see a Shiny that way.

I kept a chain going for fifteen rounds once. Actually SAW a shiny patch, and accidentally stepped in another one. I nearly cried... Of course, to cry requires one to have a heart, and since I don't, I can't.

Ok. Try repel when your going for a chain. My problem is I'm trying to find a ditto and all I ever chain is a Floatzel and then a Gastrodon appears. Stupid slug!!

Okay, and since my friend that I spoke of (in PM) who would trade me a Porygon for a Pikachu just got the Yellow Forest. So that trade's off, unless I can catch one of those Marowak I find in the Safari Zone. But I just changed the areas so Desert isn't a current Area, and I don't wanna change it back and replace ALL of the decorations. So Porygon can be replaced with Ditto, right?
