Yes its true. I probably would have still picked a random pokemon if the D/P starters had existed however. I think that smoal and combustove are pretty awesome. Culthulhu had a great idea coming up with those.

I agree. They are pretty cool. I also would have chosen Random - I really like Ourobotine and Djignitor, but I saw Agunni the wrong way for the longest time - I thought it had fuzzy hair and didn't see the beak. And Nutreed is just the tiniest bit odd. The Ouroboros concept though... amazing.

Archive openers were pretty sweet indeed.

I want a Hippache, that thing is a killer. And would make quite a killer team with Hippowdon and Tankotamus, hehe. Hippo power!

My favourite is the Magtie line, with Ourobotine coming in close second. I love magpies! Also, as to the "bannermons", I do agree that they look rather destructive (then again, last time we had the Apes of the Apocalypse).

I think the blue one is an Ice/Steel-type legendary with some connection to the anti-volcano in Askorun Wastes and/or the ice-caps on the Majestic Mountains and the red one is a Fire/Dragon-type legendary with some connection to Ardor Volcano and/or Mount Torkenhow. Note that Askorun Wastes is near the northern Majestic Mountains, which has its fair share of Steel-types and the blue legendary seems to have large metallic cylinders on its back and that Ardor Volcano is very close to Mount Torkenhow, Dragon-type Grand Central Station and the red legendary is very dragon-like.

Also, observe the gems. The blue one is polyhedral, a trait more commonly seen in sedimentary stones metamorphosed by heat or pressure (as would be found in fold mountains like the Majestics), whereas the red one is spherical, a trait more commonly seen in igneous rocks, due to the gas bubbles within the stone (as would be found on a volcanic island).

That's... that's some pretty deep thinking you've got there, and I think you're right on the dot. Or at least relatively close to the dot.

But the blue one still seems to be water type to me. Those things on the side of its head look an awful lot like gills, and I think its head kind of looks like some sort of aquatic thing. But maybe that's just me.

Or maybe, from a simple approach, the blue gem is a diamond (being a PF mascot for Diamond version) & the red gem is actually a pearl (being a PF mascot for Pearl).

I agree. I see fins too. And I think if it were ice, the blue would be lighter... more whitish...

The pearl legendary pokémon is obviously a dragon, while the other one I dare to assume it´s a knight. And if they´ve gained legendary status, I am sure it´s for something out of their types, what that is though is beyond me.

Well, since ShinE just inadvertently reminded us that the planetary legendaries are in this gen, shall we have some speculation on them? I was thinking types.

We can see there's actually 10 of them. So... Sun, moon? Let's guess the isles and types.
From left to right: Mercury, Pluto, Jupiter, Mars, ???, Uranus, Saturn, Earth, Venus, Neptune. Agree, disagree?
Now for types. Pluto is confirmed Ice/Ghost. I'm thinking definitely water for Neptune, Electric for Saturn. Mercury is Rock maybe, from the island's appearance? Flying looks like Uranus... Earth is Grass for sure, and Jupiter looks like Ground. Mars is Fire. Venus might be... Wind? Poison? I dunno.

Here is what I think each one is:
Rocky one with steps: Moon?
Volcano one: Mercury
Cracked yellow one: Venus
Crystal one: Uranus
Red crater one: Mars
Planty one: Earth
Giant ringed one: Jupiter
Floating one: Pluto
Multiple islands one: Saturn
Blue crater one: Neptune
Definitely interesting islands, either way. Not so sure about the types yet, though.
