Isidar looked ruffled by the Growl, and looked at Cyrus for instructions. 'You can do it, Isidar, I know you can! Growl back!' Cyrus called. Isidar looked back towards Ledyba. 'Agunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnni!' she growled.

"Switch tactics Ledyba, Tackle now," Aaron instructed.

His pokemon nodded, then dashed forward to ram into Isidar.

'Isidar! You use Pound!' Cyrus called. Isidar jumped to the side slightly, and attempted to Pound Ledyba's side.

Isidar smacked right into the side of Ledyba's shell, hard enough that it actually flipped the bun onto its back, where it wiggled for a moment like an overturned turtle.

"Right yourself and Tackle back," Aaron called.

His pokemon quickly flicked open its wings, which tossed the bug up as if it were spring-loaded. Once in the air, it flapped its wings busily until it was turned right-side up. Then it stayed in the air as it flew straight at its opponent to execute its attack.

(Ledyba's a bun? I'm assuming you mean bug... ^^ And I don't want Postork to interrupt, so I'll say that it's been watching ^^)

'Isidar! I know you can win, just dodge then use Pound!' Cyrus called. The tiring Isidar looked at Cyrus, determination across her face, then attempted to dodge around and use Pound on Ledyba from the side. It didn't quite work, as Isidar was hit by Ledyba's Tackle in the process, but at such an angle that the damage was slightly lessened.

Again Ledyba was hit in the side, sending the bug skidding away.

"Keep on it! Tackle again!" Aaron said.

His pokemon wobbled to its feet, looking more unsteady than it had earlier, but still charged at Isidar.

Cyrus tried to call out to Isidar, to tell her to dodge, but she was too late - Isidar was hit by Ledyba's Tackle, and was thrown across the arena. 'Isidar... Are you alright?' Cyrus asked, and then sighed with relief as Isidar got up. 'You'll continue? After this battle, you'll need healing... But I know you can win!' Cyrus cheered. Looking determined, the Agunni started another Pound, heading straight for Ledyba.

Once more Isidar pounded Ledyba into the ground, but this time the bug didn't get back up, and instead slumped limply.

Aaron recalled his fainted pokemon as he said, "Good job! You two fought well together. I'm happy to award you your first badge." He walked across the field, offering a small object to Cyrus.

Cyrus has received the Panorama Badge!

He also handed the new trainer a red device that looked a bit like a fancy red cell phone and said, "Also, here's a pokedex for you. I'm sure you'll find it useful."

Cyrus looked slightly confused. 'Despite my mother being a Gym Leader, I'm still not sure how to take badges without scratching people...' she muttered, showing Aaron - if he hadn't already noticed - her claws. 'I don't want to scratch you or anything... How should we do this?'

Isidar heard a rapping at the window and went to check; there was a grumpy-looking Postork outside, but she decided to wait until Cyrus was finished.

Aaron had been surprised by the claws, but they posed little difficultly to allowing her to receive the badge. "No problem; just hold out your hand palm-up, and I'll drop the badge into it." He shifted the badge in his hand so that he was holding it between his index finger and thumb, ready to drop it as he suggested.

"I'm not sure what it's waiting for; the battlefield lacks a roof for the express purpose of letting Flying-types enter and exit freely. 'There is one thing... Is there any way I can get a map for my PokeGear?' Cyrus asked, also looking at the Postork. It seemed to be holding a large bag of some sort, and, seemingly annoyed at Cyrus for making it wait, flew in and waited impatiently.

'Seems to be a delivery bird... Are they any relation to Delibird? I used to see them all the time back in Johto.' Cyrus said, opening the bag. Inside was a smaller bird and a ticket. She scanned the small bird with her new Pokedex - noting, pleased, that the Pokédex seemed to be scratchproof - and found out that the bird was a male Tiquail, a species she had never heard of before. Then she read further down the page, and realised the Tiquail was shiny. 'I'll call you... Hane.' she said, naming the Tiquail.
