Hi, I'm new, and I decided to try to make some Pokemon.
Here they are:

Icicub (ICIcle + CUB)

Height: 1’ 2” Weight: 15 lbs.

Pokedex Type: Cool Cub Pokémon

Ice Type

Description: A small bear whose head is also its body. It has stubby legs, big ears, and a cute face.

Pokedex: ICICUB has an interesting way of catching fish: It lures them out of the water with their cute face. Older ones train offensive techniques by participating in snowball fights.

Evolution: Trade with Metal Coat into Warriolar

Ability: Thick Fat/Pickup

Moves:

1: Tackle

1: Growl

3: Powder Snow

8: Bite

11: Snowball

15: Snow Fort

20: Take Down

24: Ice Fang

29: Crunch

33: Icy Floor

38: Double-Edge

42: Blizzard

Egg Group: Field

Warriolar (WARRIOr + pOLAR)

Height: 4’ 1” Weight: 88 lbs.

Pokedex Type: ArmoredBear Pokémon

Ice/Steel Type

Description: A bulky polar bear covered with armor. It has red eyes and long metal claws.

Pokedex: WARRIOLAR trains with peers by attacking with claws like sword fighting. Against tougher foes, it powers up by surrounding its claws with ice.

Evolution: Evolves from Icicub when traded with the Metal Coat

Ability: Thick Fat/ Battle Armor

Moves:

1: Growl

3: Powder Snow

5: Metal Claw

13: Bite

17: Protect

22: Take Down

27: Swords Dance

32: Flash Cannon

36: Crunch

41: Crystal Cut

To answer your questions, yes the dexes need to be changed to two standalone lines of 85-100 characters each, one for Diamond, one for Pearl, and although there are no polar bears, there are two similar pokemon with a similar evo method, Catalusky and Armatundra, somewhere in the RSE archive. THese could possibly be their counterparts, and if that were true, I would base the movelists off of theirs. Welcome to PF, by the way, and nice start!

Aside from elementalpenguin's points, I was also reminded of PF243 Chicube: http://pokefactory.pokemology.com/PFA/10.php

Also, PF's "Ground" egg group is named "Field" to be more descriptive: http://pokefactory.pokemology.com/egg-groups.php

Other than those, could probably use a bit of thinking of just what makes these pokemon "tick" - why have they evolved in such a way, how they interact with other pokemon, all kinds of fluff/lore for them. It sure is not necessary, but helps flesh out the idea, make it more believable and deep.

Ok, I changed Ground to Field, but I'm not good with Pokedex descriptions. Can somone help me lengthen them?
Note: I'm not making Icicub a counterpart to the Catalusky, because counterparts arn't usually from different generations.

I'm liking those names and classifications, they're cute.

Wait, Warriolar can surround its eyes with spikes? That seems a little unorthodox, and potentially very painful for Warriolar... you sure you don't want to rethink that?

Other than that, I'm not sure there's a reason for Warriolar to have the Mold Breaker ability. Perhaps Sturdy or Battle Armor would be more fitting.

I have a question about the dexes: Is there one seperate Pokedex entry for each game? If so, I have some revised dexes

Some older ICICUB train amongst themselves by participating in intense snowball fights.
Warriolar:

After extensive training, WARRIOLAR has developed its fur into metal-hard patches like armor.

WARRIOLAR trains with peers using its long, sharp claws in a fashion similar to sword fighting.

OK, changed that. I also made it so they don't say their names in both entries:

The problem is, the second sentence in each of them don't read well by themselves, which they're supposed to - you use a pronoun not referring to anything.

Mine's basically done and just waiting for review. It's cub--->split evo Ice Bear/Igloo Bear. If you could find a way to make these a little bit more different, then I'm sure it could be approvable.

This idea is awesome! Btw, Pollyana, I suggest making Icicub more like a Polar Teddiursa, and giving it a new name.

Hmm... that gives me an idea. Perhaps Warriolar could be an alternate evo of Teddiursa? That would mean scrapping Icicub, but I'm afraid it's a little too much like my Snobear right now.

It just needs something to set it apart a bit.

@Pollyana: Please don't change anything yet. I'd like to discuss the 'polar bear' issue with the other Staff first - that is, once it is your topic's turn to get reviewed. For now, they're good as they are right now. An alternate Teddiursa evolution is not something we're that interested in. I'd rather get these to work next to ZeldaFan's polar bears.

Pollyana, for a first suggestion, this is a very good and complete one. Unfortunately, due to the introduction of Cubchoo and Beartic, these have become obsolete. Something else to keep in mind next time: slapping metal parts on a pokémon and make it Steel-type when it evolves is generally not a good idea.

We are lloking forward to your next suggestion, though!
