I also stalked for a long time. I found this site near the beginning of the RSE era, but just became a member, I don't know, I think it was last summer.

I never really understood that. They're a obviously high-funded, technologically advanced organization, but they use Pokemon that you can practically sneeze on and knock them out. Why don't they use guns or some sort of powerful weapons?

Because guns and really powerful weapons would leave a bad influence on kids 10 and younger, which is the demographic that Gamefreak is aiming for. I agree with you though that the evil organizations are pretty pathetic. Being beat by kids really? In the anime its their sheer numbers that make it so that they win. I think even high level pokemon would have trouble taking down twenty or so Golbat at once. Team Rocket is still around in the anime and Team Galatic, Magma, and Aqua pretty much get foiled by legendary pokemon more than Ash and his gang.

In the anime , even Team Rocket is better than that - Jessie, James, Butch, and Cassidy all become fairly low-ranking members and don't reflect the organizations more... ah... effective side.

Now see, why don't they use at least decent pokemon instead of Zubat? I mean, there are Vulpix and Growlithe living in the route right next to the city, why can't they catch those?
