You can't really transform a raspberry, can you? Also, i don;'t temember you being on the board at the time of that post...

I give credit to soble for thinking this idea would be a good suggestionm and I came up with a simple evolution method that makes sense.

No, ZF wasn't.
In addition, you can transform a raspberry - Close it like Cherrim does. Give it brambles or something. However, a cherry evolving into a raspberry doesn't really make sense...

Pokemon makes no sense, we have a pokemon (Gloom) that loses a type and shrinks when it evolves, a Mushroom that evolves into a boxer, and a robotic exploding ball. I'd say raspberries fit in fine.

And no, I was gone for a little while from my haunting of the site (when it was at its emptiest) and Pielord had joined a while before I came back. But how did EP know that...

Bonus points for that dark-type Thrash in there, I like it(now give it to Absol...).

Though it being just plain raspberry strikes me odd... it might need some graphic design to make it look a bit menacing for a BERRY of all things. Hmm.

I'm not quite sure where the name came from...
@FoxOfWar: It's supposed to be a nocturnal grump, not a vicious beats of the night.
@EP: Cherries & raspberries are both a red color (red for cherries, maroon-ish purple for raspberries) and cherries are the only berry made into a Pokemon. Evolving from Chwins wouldn't make sense. On the note of form-changing, what would be the trigger for the form-change? Not it becoming night/Midnight, because then it would be too similar to Cherrim.

It IS a counterpart to Cherrim, but doesn't mean they have to be almost exactly the same. Pinsir & Scyther are counterparts, but Scyther has an evolution while Pinsir does not.
@sov: I like that portmanteau/corruption of "rise and shine"! It is completely fitting as the opposite of what Razzenhine is. That will be the name origin form now on!

So, anything the Staff wants to say about it?

No, it was just something that sounded good. Not combos or nothing. I had a habit of doing that, and am still trying to change some of the names of my Bronze/Prism/Amethyst Pokemon.

Yeah, but the problem with your Pinsir - Scyther point is that everyone wants Pinsir to have an evo so it is a better counterpart, and no one sees it in a good light anymore.
