I've always wanted noctowl and swellow to have evos.

Noctowl's would be Magic/flying. And I can't think of a design nor moves.

Swellow's would be a Wind/flying. It is basically an orange swellow with 3 tails instead of 2, and an extra pair of wings ontop of its other set. The name is Swallach, the windstream pokemon.

Dex description:

Swallach is recorded to be one of the fastest flying pokemon when airborne, clocking at speeds over mach 4.

It obtains its speed by creating its own jetsteam under its wings, allowing increased velocity.

I can't think of anything else for Swallach.

Mind helping me out guys?

Swallach's abilty should of course be Speed Boost. About Noctowl's evo, maybe it has some connection to time?

Noctowl's evo would definitely need to be Psychic/Flying, since both Hoothoot's and Noctowl's concepts heavily hint at psychic abilities.

However, before working on these, we should ask ourselves the following: Hoothoot/Noctowl and Taillow/Swellow are both typical early-found, two-stage birds. Is it wise to give them evolutions, thus causing them to loose that role?

Yes, and let me explain why. Pidgey, Hoothoot, Tailow and Starly are all "starter bird pokemon" as I call them. Pidgey and Starly however get 2 evos. I feel it being unfair for them to get the advantage.

And I can agree with the psychic/flying evo.

There's actually a difference in concept/role between pokémon like Pidgey, Starly and Tiquail on the one hand, and pokémon like Spearow, Hoothoot, Taillow, Magtie on the other. This is apparent in the pokémon stats; the stats of Fearow, Noctowl, Swellow (and Magcry) are closer to those of Pidgeot, Staraptor (and Quailane) than to those of Pidgeotto, Staravia (and Kwiquail).

This is not to say that I'm entirely opposed to this idea, but I do think that we should carefully consider whether these evos are actually needed and whether Nintendo would consider making them or not.

I agree - I've always seen them as two concepts, that end up about the same. Swellow and Noctowl, if given evolutions, would become far more powerful than Pidgeot, and Staraptor. Thus, I feel that they do not need evos.

Now that I think about it, it should be a 3 stager. The first 2 are normal/flying, while the last is wind/flying. Mind if someone help with the moves?

Perhaps Peregrive as a name? Peregrine Falcon + Dive? Peregrine falcons are the fastest things in the world, diving at I believe 220 Km/H. I had Peregret before, using jet, but that puts in Egret which doesn't fit, and regret. Both those come as side-effects or incorporating jet, and they don't work. So I think Peregrive is beter.

Hmm, interesting observation about Peregret sounding like "regret." But in the same vein, when I saw Peregrive I read it at "pere-grieve" (rhyming with leave), not "pere-graive" (rhyming with dive). The was I read it, it sounds like grieve, meaning to mourn. Which makes me wonder if we could use the names Peregret and Peregrive for some form of sad-looking, mourning birds, although I know that doesn't fit the jetstream concept at all.

That last one sounds like a solid concept. So we have an abnormally fast bird in our hands, and a predator at that.

So it probably hunts with dives that are pretty dang fast.

What else? Two first forms probably are just basic Taillow-Swellow definition of "fast." I would see the last form being faster than Swellow though. So a speedy pokemon line, with probably fairly respectable Attack as well, with some special defense as the "third semi-high stat." Let's try some stat spreads!

Sonchic: Base Total 250 (Pidgey has 251, Starly 245)
HP: 40 / Atk: 50 / Def: 30 / Sp Atk: 25 / Sp Def: 40 / Speed: 60

Aureagle: Base Total 350 (Pidgeotto 350, Staravia 340)
HP: 50 / Atk: 70 / Def: 40 / Sp Atk: 40 / Sp Def: 60 / Speed: 85

Zephyrach: Base Total 470 (Pidgeot 469, Staraptor 475)
HP: 60 / Atk: 95 / Def: 50 / Sp Atk: 50 / Sp Def: 85 / Speed: 130
