I decided to start a new file on LeafGreen yesterday. I chose the starter of Bulbasaur. Then my rival beat me. I was so angry, I decided to take my anger out on the first Pokemon I found. It happened to be a Pidgey. Then he beat me.

And that, my friends, is why Bulbasaur is my most hated Pokemon.

Well I've been playing Platinum again, and I finally got to Giratina, using my event Arceus to destroy everything in my path. And then, I do something really stupid and find out I have no Pokeballs of any kind when I get to Giratina. (sigh...)

I was playing firered, and I ran into Raikou. I used sleep powder, and I was about to false swipe it using my Lv 100 Scizor. Then when Scizor was in it woke up, ans run away. I was so mad!

Found a Shiny Mewtwo in my FireRed one time, only to accidentally land a crit hit with my Lv. 75 Articuno's Blizzard and knock it out.

Well I named my rival in Gold ???, as I know many people did. Got SoulSilver today and didn't make that mistake.
Also, you know Cycling Road in RSE? I thought it was a wall and I was stuck in Slateport, not knowing I could go under it.
My friend once beat Wattson and Flannery, went to Norman, then realized he hadn't battled Brawly.

The first time I played Gen II, I had a shiny starter. I remember thinking "hey, this isn't a cyndaquil... why is it purple!?"
So, I restarted the game, thinking it's a glitch. I later found out that it was a shiny Pokémon. :P

The only shiny I've ever had was the Red Gyarados. Which doesn't really count. Oh, but I got the shiny Pichu from the event.

Which doesn't realy count either as it's supposed to be shiny. I was lucky enough to catch a level 55 shiny Rhydon and a shiny Budew from the Great Marsh. I really haven't had any blunders yet.

Glitch the pokemon center and was in the darkness, and save, I was trapped there, for two frickin' years. Then i got better. o.0

Back in the mists of time... in pokemon Yellow...

...I had a Nidoking that was lvl 55-ish. First I thought that 55 was a "high level" and that said Nidoking still had Tackle...

I also remember having Butterfree AND Beedrill on that group for some bizarre reason. No wonder the E4 felt hard, eh?

I only started using non-offensive moves in the 2nd generation, when I started to understand how the stats actually work. Before that, I remember thinking that special defense and special attack meant NVE and Super-effective hits, and everything else came from Attack/Defense... xD

More recently, I've thought that one could actually battle semi-competitively with Mightyena. I've even trained no less than three of said hyenas to lvl 100 just to prove myself wrong again.

...hmm. Maybe that line needs an evolution. Hmm!

Yes! Community Works time! Also, minor thing - there was no Special Attack/Special Defense in yellow, if I remember correctly.

Oh, the way I read it, he understood how the stats worked when he moved to second gen, but before that, when he must have been playing first gen, he didn't, and had those misconceptions about those stats even in first gen.

"That" in this case is when he started playing 2nd gen.

Granted, it was not the best forming; I indeed meant second gen when I talked about the stats; it was also during second gen when I realized straight-out attacks are not the only thing.

I know the special split happened from first to second gen, hehe.
