My parents don't even WANT me to like pokemon. They think its immature in every sense.

They think pokemon is immature for the following reasons.

1. If it airs on Cartoon Network, Kids WB, or Nickelodeon, it's immature.

2. If the games are Rated E or E10+, it's immature.

3. If "5 year olds like this crap," it's immature.

4. If people at my age that like it "need to grow up," it's immature.

5. If it is Pokemon, it's immature!!

My parents don't mind me liking Pokemon. Or driving me around to the events. In my Platinum game, I have every single event legendary except for Celebi. I actually have multiples of some. A couple Darkrais, a bunch of Manaphies, a few Deoxys'.

@soble: I hope your parents realize that just because it's not rated Mature (as in the actual rating which has blood & other violence) doesn't mean it's immature.

No, Sillycolors knew that. Hence the "but." It's the same for me - I like Lugia more and Kyogre more, but I like Lugia more than Ho-oh more than I like Kyogre more than Groudon.

Anyway, I like Lugia more too, but that wouldn't really stop me if I could get both anyway. It's not like I use them or anywthing....

That's why I can never beat my darn friend when we battle, because he got Arceus and is using it like a madman, along with Giratina, Dialga, Palkia, and a couple other overpowered legendaries. >=[

My party at the end of the game usually consists of my starter Pokemon, at least three legendaries, and some other powerful Pokemon. In fact, in my Platinum game my party is Torterra, Giratina, Palkia, Arceus, Mamoswine, and Rhyperior.

Well for my SS team, I plan on having... hmmmm... Either Meganium or Feraligatr, Ampharos for sure, Crobat, maybe Slowbro or Slowking or Politoad or Lanturn... :3 I like all the water-types from Johto. I'll take it as it comes.

Hehe, like I said in the other topic, I will go with bunch of Eeveelutions and Aerodactyl, because they're all long due for me to go with(my "to do" pokemon list is long. As in, Wailord looks pretty small in comparison. LONG.). That, and I couldn't resist doing a Double Team/Aqua Ring Vaporeon. Yes, I'm evil like that.

As far as using legendaries go, I allow my friend to use them as long as they're not "Uber" legendaries(like hell I would allow him to use his 424 Sp Atk Mewtwo...), and as long as they're not the only thing he uses. The occasional Jirachi or Latias? Don't really mind. Myself, I never use them because they cannot be bred, and don't like the idea of "resetting the game and catching it again, ad infinitum" to get the right nature, either ;P

I could only EV train to a degree since I don't want them to be over level 5 when I trade, but EV trained HP until that point(finally, a use for Bidoof!), and reached almost the magic 252 EV mark. Having four Exp. Shares helped a lot, too.
