I voted SS, but I'm getting both. Soul Silver just runs off the tongue better.

@ZF - Yes, odd, isn't it? I guess we're different minded groups, and I think age might have something to do with it. I personally am going for the SoulSilver because it has Skarmory.

Can I cheat? I already own SoulSilver in Japanese, but I am going to purchase Heartgold in English. I wonder if I am going to have to wait in a long line like I did when Gold came. *sigh* So many memories. I got my pre-order and am now just waiting impatiently for March 14th to come around.

I would rather get Soulsilver (IF I had a DS).
Groudon is definitely better than Kyogre, at least in my opinion. It can learn moves leveling up from 4 types- Normal, Ground, Fire, and Grass. Its special ability not only increases the damage of fire moves, but will also transform Solarbeam into a one-turn move.
Also, I like Lugia better. :P

Heart Gold because my sister's getting Soul Silver, hehe.

Gameplay wise I don't really do a difference since I can access all(breedable) pokemon anyway(Emerald, Leaf Green, Pearl, Diamond, Platinum). Doesn't matter which legendaries I smoosh over for exp. points

I like Lugia more than Ho-oh, but Kyogre more than Groudon. I understand Groudon is better, competitive battling, blah blah blah, but I'm getting SoulSilver.

My brother's getting Gold, I think, because it has Growlithe (his favorite Pokemon), but he's not sure...

Oh, not at all! My brother apparently enjoys EVtraining and leveling up pokémon all the way to 100 and he also let me keep the event Darkrai since he doesn´t mind getting altered ones. And it´s really fun to compete on tournaments if we both enter.

I'm sorry Flarsable. I know how it feels not having someone to trade with or talk about pokemon with. My younger brother use to be into pokemon, but lost interest when he got more busy. Even when he liked pokemon we never did much interaction. Maybe one or two battles. I'm fortunate enough to have a girlfriend who enjoys pokemon. She's getting SoulSilver because she likes Lugia and because I already own the Japanese version. I didn't want to have to buy it again in English.
