JDL: Yep! It just started! 

It's a great image seeing 16 Pokémon dive in at the same time. 

To obtain the Beacon, the Pokémon first have to Cut a piece of seaweed blocking a secret alcove. Inside the alcove, they will find nothing, but walls. There is a light patch of the wall that is extremely thin, and can be rock smashed through, taking the Pokémon to a long tunnel. Swimming though, they will resurface, finding themselves trapped and surrounded by huge rocks with no way to jump or climb over. What the Pokémon have to do now is to Strength the rocks around them, pushing to reveal a path. The path will lead them to an underwater forest of kelp. Using cut to get through, they will then find a series of dark caves, going as deep as 4 kilometers underwater. Going into the first cave to the left, then the third  or fifth cave to the left, following down the tunnel, going down, not up, pushing a rock to discover a secret cave, continuing through the cave, they will find a bunch of kelp covering the beacon. 

Starmie is poking around that patch of seaweed... look at that cut! 

The other Pokémon seem to be noticing this move. JDL's, Bgreymon's, Flarsable's, Soble's, and Hazzamon's teams follow Floatzel into the alcove. Seeing that there's nowhere to go, Crawdaunt goes into a fit, damaging others but also the wall. As the thin cover of rock collapses, the teams race on, leaving Crawdaunt behind, who did not notice the hole it created and was still throwing a tandrum. 

Halfway through the tunnel, Huntail notices Crawdaunt's disappearance, and went back to find it. Soble's team follows Huntail, thinking that it has a clue. 

Surfacing, the Pokémon look confusingly at the rocks around them. What are these things? 

Starmie hovers up for a bit, but it can't get over the rocks. They were stranded! 

Crawdaunt appears in the pool, returning to the race. It crams everyone together in this small space, and accidentally pushes a rock aside. Getting the hang of it, Floatzel pushes its way out, only to find a path underwater. It follows the path, and ends up in a forest of kelp. 

As everyone follows Floatzel, they seem amazed at the forest. But... where is Floatzel? 

Hearing cries from deep within the kelp, Starmie Rapid Spins into the vegetation. Floatzel appears to be tangled! 

Golduck and Relicanth hack through the greenery, while looking for any exits. Swampert fires a Mud Shot at them, in an attempt to slow them down, but the water quickly dissipates the stream of mud. Angry, Relicanth blows Swampert off its feet (or fins) with an AncientPower. 

Lanturn lights up the place with flash, seeing better whilst avoiding kelp. Quagsire took a moment to munch on some. 

Finding an exit, Flarsable's,  and JDL's team head for the caves. They are followed by Hazzamon and Bgreymon. Finally, Drufle's team untangles themselves and moves forward. 

Golduck found its way using its psychic powers, and Relicanth in turn protected Golduck from the pressure. 

Hazzamon's Swampert discovered a minute disturbance in the water from the vibrations of the beacon. It chooses the right cave. 

Flarsable's Lanturn also discovered a disturbance, and followed Swampert into the correct cave. All of the other teams went into incorrect caves. 

Continuing down the long tunnel, disturbances became stronger. The Pokémon start speeding up, Swampert throwing mud all over the place to confuse the others. Lanturn quickly pierces through the murky water with a Flash. 

The group continued up the tunnel, and smashed the rock blocking the way to the alcove. Lanturn zaps the others, fainting JDL's team. Swampert wasn't affected at all, and caused an Earthquake to distract Lanturn and Quagsire. The beacon bounced and vibrated out of the cave, causing the remaining Pokémon to chase it wildly. 

The beacon is within the reach of Swampert. Smirking, it reaches forward and... grabs Lanturn. That wasn't the beacon! The water must have been too murky. Quagsire took this moment to grab the real beacon, and wins the event. 

Flarsable is the winner!
