Sounds pretty complicated, but I like the concept. I'll give any help you need. Do you want to assign certain types to each region, or just choose randomly?

OK then. After lots of research and tweaking, I have exactly 7 types for each of the 5 regions, with Grass, Fire, and Water being starters from different regions, being Sceptile, Infernape, and Feraligatr respectively.

Only one problem. Altaria is not a wind type by the official PF types.

First: I'm Drufle, not Pielord.

Second: I know it isn't, but most of the Pokemon aren't the types they're guarding. They just represent them. If you'd like, we can change it to Chimecho, which is Wind-type by PF's standards. Scratch that, I have a better idea. We can move Cosmic into Hoenn, use both Solrock and Lunatone as a pair of guardians, then move Wind back to Bombur and use Castorm, Castform's awesome evolution.
Third: I also decided to switch Fire and Water, because I feel that Typhlosion and Empoleon work better than Infernape and Feraligatr.
Fourth: Let me just say that the fake types, not PF's types, but the fake ones, like Bone and Wood, were really hard to fit.
Fifth: Is it ok to have legendaries?

1. Sorry 'bout that.

2. I like the idea of Castorm as Wind. But I'd prefer 1 pokemon per orb. I'll help with that.

3. Fine by me.

4. I can see why. Bone-type could be fossils in my opinion.

5. NO LEGENDARIES!!! I am trying to avoid that as much as possible.

Here are some orb switches that would help.

Time: Xatu- It can see into the past and future according to its dexes.

Life: Pharaleoh- It is a mummy, as in back from the dead.

Cosmic: Clefable- It is associated with the term "outer-space" in the games and anime.

Space: ... Just keep Palkia for now, I need to think about this orb a bit.

Couldn't space be something like Dusknoir? Its dex says its antenna receives signals from the spirit world (aka another dimension).

Soble: I think you missed something. I already have Xatu as Psychic and Pharaleoh as Magic. But I think I can easily remedy that.
Sov: That's kind of pushing the limits of definitions. That might work, but I'll have to do some editing.
Edit: Ok, I moved Cosmic up to Kanto to be Clefable, and pushed Dragon down to Hoenn to take its place as Salamence. I left Xatu where it was, but changed it to Time and added Bronzong to Sinnoh to make up for Psychic. I then changed Pharaleoh to Life, and I know it's a bit of a stretch, but I put Unown in as Magic. They always seemed kinda Magicy to me.

I like the dusknor-space idea as well. Put it up!

And for the current magic and psychic guardians, one switch can easily be made, since unown aren't magic type.

Done. That was probably better than my idea, which was to move Heart up to Hoenn and change it to Luvdisc, move Magic down to Bombur as Genimp, then move Wood up to Johto to be Sudowoodo. Meh, there's lots of choices, aren't there?

As for Space, how about using Stantler?
"The curved antlers subtly change the flow of air to create a strange space where reality is distorted." This "space" is not a different dimension, but created by Stantler's antlers, so I think it's more fitting than Dusknoir.

I think Magic should be changed to Sorceryvern, because Palatin doesn't have any magical powers besides its mystic aura.

I like the list, but I don't think Grumpig is really a good Crystal-type. It has a pearl on its head, which is a gemstone, not a crystal.

I was just thinking that... If Crystal needs to stay in Hoenn, then it could be Sableye (who has crystal eyes, plus it EATS gemstones it finds while hiding out in caves).
