ODST was a great game, but Modern Warfare 2 had one of the best campaigns I've ever seen. Plus, the Special Ops part is great.
And by the way, you did miss a lot of games that came out this year, but those were probably the best selling.

Out of those four ODST is the only one I've played. It was awesome.

i think assassins creed had great gameplay, and game me a sense of freedom but still had a threatened feeling to it

Meh, COD is not bad. Halo is pretty good. I really anticipate getting Mass Effect 2, though.

I agree with this comment, but Brawl was an 08 release... anyway, I personally loved Bowser's Inside Story, Spirit Tracks, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Spirit Tracks looks weird to me. "Yay! Link's driving a train!" I wanted New Super Mario Bros. Wii for Christmas, but didn't get it. Punch-Out also looks interesting. For some reason, 2009 wasn't a big year in gaming for me. I just played the games I already had. 2010 might be, with Pokemon Heart Gold and Sin and Punishment 2 on the way.
