((FINALLY!))

"Well, you see, I was under the impression that because they carved out this large tree, certainly they must've done something with the branches above. But they didn't. I can use Swift, which normally sends out a bunch of small tracking stars. I have learned from my time with Fern that if you concentrate hard enough, you can do some thing like... hrng... this!" She exclaimed, and a large Swift star appeared. "This vessel here, unfortunately, is too fragile to carry you all the up there. However, both Fern and Rikku could easily be lifted up. I'm assuming that they both have the reflexes to jump onto one of those branches because a large Swift doesn't steer easily... so once they're out they could scout the area (I could just fly, but I have some questions I want to ask you) and possibly find a solution. To be honest, I'm not sure what that solution is, but they could at least knock out the guards and such. It's better than having all four of us wait here unproductively. Any input or objections?"

Rikku flipped her hair and smirked. "I do indeed have the best reflexes this side of Cargan Temple!" She motioned for Lead to produce one of the Swift stars, though in reality... she wasn't too sure about this plan. Shadow Pokemon used strange attacks that were more effective than even Dark-Type attacks, and as an empath, the negativity of the attacks and their users messed with her inner balance. If she was going to stay ahead of the game, she would have to be stealthy and avoid attacks at all costs.

"I'll try and find a door or something in the side, Mirroroar," she said. "I won't just leave you in the lion's den."

Mirroroar grinned when he heared the word 'door'. "You better keep your promise, Rikku. You at least owe me that," Mirroroar said, obviously referring to what happened in the Solar Temple.
After having said goodbye, Mirroroar watched as the smaller, more flexible pokémon jumped on the stars and started making their way up. "So, are you going to keep me company then?" Mirroroar said, turning to Lead.

I would've been a goner if Fern wasn't out hunting. I've gotten better at fighting since then, but as a Ledian I'm more of a receiver than dealer... We've never left the Woods before, but I know everything you could about every plant, Pokemon, and fungus in the entire area, as I demonstrated. But it's all I've known. I don't know why the trees grow to be so thick, just that they're thick, and we have no chance to busting through them. But enough about me. How did you wind up in this bark prison?"

Reaching the ledge made by the ring of wood from where the top of the tree and been leveled off, Rikku turned to survey the area. There were two sets of Shadow Luxio patrolling the perimeter, as well as an additional two guarding a specific spot at the base of the tree. "Bingo," she said, pointing to the two door guards. "That's where our door is. Those two will be easy to take out from above." Rikku then pointed to one of the two patrols passing beneath them. "The hard part will be opening the door before the patrol comes around. A patrol pair passes by the door about every two minutes. That means we have that much time to take out the guards, open the door, and escape." Rikku looked to Fern. "Do you think we can manage?" Rikku quickly concentrated for a moment, before suddenly she blurred for a moment. When she settled down, it wasn't just here-- she had an exact duplicate sitting right next to her. "Like my trick? I'll use it as a distraction if we need to buy time," the two Rikku's said in unison.

"Is that so?" Fern said. He was sitting next to the duplicate. Suddenly, something tapped Rikku on the shoulder and ((I hope you don't mind I'm doing this impulse)) she tensed up and turned around. Standing there was Fern. "Funny, I know that trick too. I think our duplicates would make a fine distraction from the patrols. We'll send them in a different direction and knock out the guards."
