I was calculating the totals of the official PF Pokemon, including Staff, and it totals to 580 so far. Which means that the National Pokedex of Bombur includes 1,073 Pokemon. Holy crap.

You miscallculated. It's 1,053, not 73. 8 +7 = 15, not 17.

I forgot to include Pegazeus, so it's now 1,074. Btw, I also included TinE, the 2 Mystery Staff Members, Florabloom, Gork, and Exodus. Oops! It appears I added Rock, Paper, and Scissors while I was looking around the site to count. Do they count?

If you're counting "real" (non-gag) pokemon, I'd think not. But you can include Niklus if you haven't already, as well maybe some others mentioned in this topic. BTW, are you counting forms? If you did, that'd be probably another 50 or so...

That's still a crazily huge amount. My region is only up to 800-something in the national dex, and I thought that was a lot. x_x On topic, I just noticed that the seal on Gastlyinajar is the Odd Keystone. XD

If Gastlyinjar existed, would it evolve from Gastly? By having an Odd Keytone used on it when its holding some new item called Empty Jar or something.

No, if Gastlynjar existed, it would be a normal Gastly holding an item called KeystoneJar. The item's effects would be to disable all of the pokémon's moves and prevent item use, but make the pokémon immune to every attack type except Fighting. A Fighting attack would destroy the item.
