That's right! We are now at the last stop of Ash's Sinnoh Journey, Sunnyshore. He will face off against Volkner, but what will Volkner's team be? Here is my prediction. Some of them I have reasons for.

I am hoping magnezone is the main pokemon on his team.

Roark had his DP team; he had a geodude, an onix and a cranidos (who later evolved).

But Ash got the badge after the Cranidos evolved; that doesn't happen in the games if you lose the first round.

ALl patricol is saying is that he will have the pokemon he would have in the games, but at appropriate power levels for Ash's pokemon to beat.

I'm going to agree with patricol and say that Volkner will have his Diamond/Pearl team, but we might see some of Volkner's other pokemon that aren't used in gym battles.
