Awesome! I always thought there were not enough move tutors. Also, are move tutors controlled by staff like HM teachers?

Also, good question, Drufle. Unlike the HM keepers, move tutors are not controlled by the Staff. Players are free to control them or ask a friend to control them. What is important, however, is that the move tutors remain nameless and mysterious. So other than them teaching a move to your pokémon, they are not meant for more interaction.

I was ACTUALLY looking through the tutor list and I saw Yawn. From my knowledge, Yawn isn't a tutor move in any of the official games. Why did you make Yawn a tutor move? In my opinion, I think nightmare should replace it. Nightmare was a tutor move in Pokemon XD.

I consider Pokémon XD to be more of a spinoff game than an official one, to be honest. Anyways, we chose Yawn over Nightmare because way more pokémon can learn Yawn.

Another question: you mentioned sidequests and hidden items in your update of HMs. Is there a list of these somewhere, or are we in control of them? Beyond reason, of course.

You are free to find hidden items on your own ^-^ The sidequest will be revealed eventually (and they involve very interesting *things*).
You are free to come up with any sidequest you like, though; your character will visit many interesting places where there's lots to do, after all ^-^

how does the Old Knight teach you both moves? It doens't work like the elemental Hyper Beams, because the Elemental Expert will only teach the move if you show her a Pokemon available to use it. Some Pokemon will be able to learn both moves (I think).
Backing up whta SHinE said, XD is a spin-off. Just like Pokemon Ranger or PMD. And just because it wasn't a tutor in the games doesn't mean it can't be one here.
@Staff: Was Headbutt an HM in G/S/C? If not, did you guys get the idea of it being one from the ability to Tackle trees and knock Pokemon out of them from PR: SoA?

The Old Knight is a move tutor that knows two moves. Whether he teaches you 0, 1 or 2 moves simply depends on whether the pokémon you show to him is capable of learning 0, 1 or both of the Old Knight moves. So yes, some pokémon learning both moves would be fine ^-^ If you want things to be more interesting, you could do something with the fact that one of his moves is defensive, while the other one is offensive.

As for Headbutt, no, it wasn't an HM is G/S/C. We just liked its out-of-battle effect and simple felt that it could work as an HM ^-^ We weren't inspired by PR: SoA, though, but just by the main games. So yay for headbuttable trees returning to HeartGold and SoulSilver ;P

Wait a sec... in Sadism description it's written that it's only available as a TM. So why is'nt it a TM?

Aero-Escape is #TM117

Unfortunately, there was no room for Sadism. We might allow the move to be learned naturally if it's really fitting the pokémon involved, so don't worry.

If I would include Rollout, then I'd have to include Defense Curl as well (or Iron Defense), since those are generally paired. Since we aren't going to add move tutors, this'd mean I would have to replace two of the current ones. Since the list is pretty balanced as it is, I'm afraid the answer is 'no'. The list will remain as it is.

I GOT AN IDEA!!!! How about the old Move Tutor moves, that will not be in the tutor list, become new egg moves if the parents have said move via level up?

The answer, again, is 'no'. Our policy is to stick to Nintendo as much as possible, so in this case, we're going to stick to the official Egg Moves lists that Nintendo pokémon currently have. If we're going to change those, things will get impossible to keep track of and get really messy.

I have a request for adding in AT LEAST 4-5. These ones have been tutors from each generation, and I feel it is wrong to not have them. And I figured out the best tutor for each. Please let them in.

Mud Slap: The little boy; Playing in the mud is what all little boys do right?
Icy Wind: Kiting Contest Supervisor; He can use it to cool off super hot summer days while flying his kites.
Swift: Dreamy Girl; She can use it to create her own stars around her
Rollout: Bowling Coach; He teaches his pokemon how to roll like a bowling ball and to always stay on course. (I know I made this one up, but I am trying to be creative)

The 5th one is defense curl, but I can't figure out what to do with it. You don't HAVE to use this one

If you put these moves in, I won't EVER ask again!

Just so you know, none of those were move tutors in FRLG or DP, so they haven't been "in every generation".

After investigating a couple of moves and the number of pokémon that can learn them, Yawn has been replaced by Mud-Slap and Plague has been replaced by Rollout. Icy Wind and Swift will not be added.

This is the one and only change we're going to make. The entire list, including all locations, is final and not up to further discussion.
