As for it being a sequel to a supposedly unique Mario platformer for the console, I rather have it that way. Something tells me that it´s gonna be better; think about it, Super Mario Bros. 3 was born in a similar way.

A lot of games like thta are coming out. They do the one-per-game thing then sometime in the release a sequel on the same console, if you understand what I mean. Like with the Toon Link series:
Wind Waker (GCN), Phantom Hourglass (DS), Spirit Tracks (DS)
Or the Mario & Luigi series:
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (GBA), Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (DS), Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (DS)
If you ask me, both of the same consolers are kinda pointless. Is it possible for Nintendo to make arrangements, such as making the new console earlier, or putting the game on hold until they make it?

Whelp, I revived this topic because Super Mario Galaxy 2 is coming in about a month, and it is now news again.

I hear instead of a plaza like the first one, you'll control a Mario Head-shaped planet called Starship Mario in a level select similar to New Super Mario Bros and New Super Mario Bros Wii. This thoroughly disappoints me.

On X-Play I saw some gameplay and I can't wait. I don't like the dragon though. It's too easy and its face jiggles too much.

skawo90 on YouTube has the trailers in case someone wnats to see them but can't find them. He also has a weird transmission that as supposed to come out... today. *runs to skawo's channel*

I saw another trailer, showing off Starship Mario, which is cooler than I expected, and revealing Mario's ability to transform into a circular cluster of rocks and roll forward at high speed.
