I just realized this. You can get SOOOOOO many legendaries from just a few current games. It is AMAZING. Let me list them off.

In Platinum I have all of them except the bottom six (excluding Shaymin, which I got the event for). In FR/LG, you missed the bird trio.

It's in Platinum, so it doesn't matter. I was trying to find a list for HG/SS to replace the GBA games, but there isn't one yet!

Then find a gold/Silver list and label it HG/SS. The new legendaries are probably already listed in Plat.

I just relized that the first two Gens of games don't have the Legendaries extensivley interwoven into the plot.

You're right sovereignofsilence, the first game to really focus on a legendary in the story was Crystal, but even then it was limited. I believe it has to do with the organizations from the games. Team Rocket is very different from Team Aqua, Magma, and Galactic, but there are similarities as well. I think the reason Nintendo is making all these legendaries available is to help people leave the third generation behind. FRLG and RSE are almost completely obsolete.

Rayquaza lives in the ozone layer and is part of the WEATHER trio. Weather does not exist in outer space.
However, the "Quasar"part of its name and its special ability may suggest it having to do with outer space.

Heres a hot topic about this game. Do you believe that you can catch an official Celebi in HG/SS? It is widely argued because of the japanese crystal event that never hit america.

Also, the notched-ear pichu is confirmed not to be able to evolve as to the regular pichu. Because of this, do you consider the notched-ear pichu legendary?

I think that Celebi might be offered, but maybe not until they possibly make a Crystal remake, because they seem to give out legendaries more often after the third game is released. And for the pichu, just because it doesn't evolve, it's still basically the same species, and pichu isn't legendary. The pikachu-colored pichu, however, is just another coloring of pichu and certainly isn't legendary, for it can still evolve.
