I was reading how Arcanine got it's name, and I saw some magic and wind properties.

English: Arcanine (ARcane +CANINE) Arcane = Magic

Japaneese: Windie, which refers to itself running as fast as the wind.

What do you guys think?
PLUS, the somewhat signature move Extremespeed is wind type (or should be).

Since it was decided upon that even Ninetales was not going to be a Magic-type, it seems to me not wise to make Arcanine one. Arcanine is way less magical than Ninetales is.

Apart from its speed, I don't see any Wind-type properties in Arcanine. And just its speed is not enough to classify it as one, in my opinion.

Yeah, Ninetales had more magical properties than Arcanine does for Wind and Magic combined.

Why should ExtremeSpeed be wind-type? The text in the game says that ExtremeSpeed is where, "the user charges the foe at blinding speed. This attack always goes before any other move." Nowhere in that those two sentences does it say anything about wind. Also, ExtremeSpeed is not an Arcanine exclusive (six pokemon can learn it). Other than that I am going to say making Arcanine part Wind-type is not founded.
