You forgot about the the new arceus event. If you transef the event arceus from D/P/Pt into Heart Gold or Soul Silver, you can have a choice of a lvl.1 legend from the DRAGON TRIO!!

NEWS!!

There is a Jirachi event for the game too,it unlocks a new area and it knows Draco Meteor.

I hear there's a new female character, which frustrates me because her clothing style doesn't match the male character at all.

Well all of the new Sugimori art is on Bulbapedia, which is great. There isn't one that I don't like, but some that stood out were Typhosion, Phanpy (my favorite pokemon), and Scizor. All of those pokemon are awesome!

It's obvious that Lugia and Ho-oh are in there usual Gen 2 locations. As for Celebi, it is still unclear.

Pokémon Factory Worker

Whirl Islands for Lugia, Tin tower for Ho-Oh. The levels and points in the game when you can get them, though not confirmed, are likely to be the same as in G/S. That is, 40 for the signature of your version after TR is defeated, and 70 for the counterpart when you get their wing in Kanto. BTW, you need a Rainbow Wing to make Ho-Oh appear, and Silver Wing for Lugia. After you have caught the legends, give these items to Mr. Pokemon for rare items such as the EXP. Share. Hope this helped.

You can see the Sugimori art on Bulbapedia. Just search for which pokemon you want to see. I am importing a Japanese version of SoulSilver (it's a good thing I can read it). Once the games come out in America I will get an English version of HeartGold, just as a did ten years ago. So many memories, I can't wait!

I find this very funny. From Bulbapaedia - about the GS ball.
"When Professor Oak couldn't do anything with it, Ash was once again asked to deliver it to Kurt, a Poké Ball researcher and manufacturer living in Johto's Azalea Town. It presumably still resides there to this day, and its purpose was, before 2008, unknown. In an interview with Masamitsu Hidaka in 2008 by the webmaster of PokéBeach, it was explained that the GS Ball was meant to contain a Celebi that was to be the star of a large arc of the Johto saga. However, it was decided that Celebi would be the star of the fourth movie, so the story arc was viewed as redundant and shelved. The ball was left with Kurt with the hopes that viewers would eventually forget about it."
We were supposed to just... forget? XD THat's about the only thing baout the anime that still interests me. I was always wondering - what is it for? Now it's been answered. I hope we will be able to get the GS ball and get Celebi...
