That's the problem, some people play the game only so they have access to the Pokemon available there so they can abuse them in competitive battling.

I'm sorry, but what? This is not related whatsoever to what we were talking about. Perhaps if you're talking about beating the game so you can use the version exclusives in competitive battling, but even that is not really accurate: most competitive battlers use a program called Shoddy Battle. And most competitive battlers still like the game enough to play it - they are still pokemon fans. (Myself included.) Also, please explain what you mean by "abuse."

I mean they only use them for competitive battling, then they stuff them into PCs until they need to battle with them again, in which the process repeats. And I've never heard of Shoddy Battle.

Victory Path is now avalible over Wi-Fi for the PokeWalker, filled with Pokemon that know unusual moves.

A Munchlax that knows Selfdestruct is funny, but a Pikachu that knows Fly?!

Pikachu that knows Fly is from an old Promo trading card. (Just search "flying pikachu" on Google and you'll get plenty of images.) And then from Yellow's Pikachu in the manga Pokemon Special. In both cases, it flies by tying itself to a lot of balloons.

You could actually get a flying and surfing pikachu in the old Yellow version game. That's where it originated I believe.

Guh... the rematch of E4 and Red are pretty tough. Doubly so because I decided I would not use any medicine to beat them, as usual :P

That's a worthy goal. I wish I was patient enough to accomplish such a feat. What I do limit myself is to how many healing items they use and no revives (or at least I'm trying to do that).

Well, as my bro and I share Heart Gold but we had to get separated for 3 months and I, supposed to beat Red in the game and having decided that he keeps HeartGold. We agreed to get a little help: We called two of our awesome EV trained uber pokémon. We kinda felt bad doing that but we had no time to train them, well it wasn´t that bad since he told me Red did rematches.

Surfing Pikachu was given away in Yellow at some point in the 90s, and it let you play a special surfing minigame apparently. You can also get a Pikachu with Surf and Volt Tackle from Battle Revolution as a reward for beating the game. Also, the intro to Pokemon Yellow shows Pikachu running towards you, Surfing, Flying, and jumping to get there, so that might be where it came from as well.

EDIT: Yet another possibility: the anime episode The Pi-Kahuna! features a Surfing Pikachu with a side of Nostalgia and some Win. :'D
